This storybook teaches children about basic shapes by having circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, diamonds, stars, and ovals ask each other what shapes they see. The story encourages tracing and coloring the shapes, then cutting out the pages and putting them in order to staple into a mini book. The book provides an interactive way for young students to learn shape names.

1. Have students write their name on the rst page of the book. 2. Students can read this book with the teacher, with a partner, or alone. Have the students trace each shape with a different color crayon. 3. On the last page of the mini book the students are to again trace or color in each shape. Have them nd the correct shape word that matches and paste on top of the shape. This can be done as a group or individually. Encourage students to look back to the story to nd the shape words. 4. Once students have nished tracing/coloring and pasting, have them cut each page in half on the dotted lines. 5. The student or teacher should use the page numbers to put the story in correct order to be stapled. Enjoy!
