Executive Summary
Ittehad Chemicals Limited, one of Pakistan's front-line manufacturers of basic inorganic chemicals. The Factory, commissioned in 1964 started off production with an initial installed capacity of 60 MT Caustic Soda and 54 MT/day of Chlorine. Rising demand facilitated the first expansion phase which was carried out in 1969 enhancing capacity to 90 MT/day of Caustic Soda and 81 MT/day of Chlorine. Ittehad Chemicals Limited, one of Pakistan's front-line manufacturers of basic inorganic chemicals has come a long way. The Factory, commissioned in 1964 started off production with an initial installed capacity of 60 MT Caustic Soda and 54 MT/day of Chlorine. Rising demand facilitated the first expansion phase which was carried out in 1969 enhancing capacity to 90 MT/day of Caustic Soda and 81 MT/day of Chlorine.

Products Of Ittehad Chemicals Ltd:


Wide range of products, touching every industry sphere Ittehad Chemicals products find application in almost every industry of Pakistan ranging from textiles, carpets, fertilizers to soaps and detergents, from vegetable oil, banaspati ghee paper and board to power generation, gas, petroleum to sugar and beverages. The present product line includes Caustic Soda (Solid, Liquid and Flakes), Liquid Chlorine, Hydrochloric Acid, Sodium Hypochlorite (Liquid Bleach, Zinc Sulphate Mono, Bleaching Earth, Sulphuric Acid and Lime, for industrial use. Caustic Soda is used in a wide variety of industrial applications. It is used as a reactant in the manufacture of other sodium components which themselves may be intermediate or end use products, such as Sodium Hypochlorite, having its use as a household Bleach and Disinfectant and Sodium Phenolate, required for making antiseptics and for the manufacture of Aspirin. It is used in the manufacturing process of Soaps and Surfactants used in Soap Powders and also in the Textile Industry to remove containments, as a Bleach in the treatment of scoured cloth and to improve luster and dye absorption. HR Department Of ICL:
Ittehad Chemicals has an established Human Resource department which plays some specific functions for the Company.

Functions of HRD
