Order of the Righteous Hammer Members of this order are commonly known as Templars.

These warrior-priests live solitary lives, travelling the land and leading military campaigns against chaos and evil. They are easily recognizable with their flame-colored robes, heavy armor and shaven heads. Order of the Cleansing Pyre This order is dedicated to the eradication of demonologists and wielders of black magic. They generally keep a low profile, blending in with the populace in order to infiltrate and ambush cults of chaos. These inquisitors are often called upon to assist local authorities with investigations, man-hunts and executions. Order of the Shining Beacon The public face of the church. These priests officiate at religious ceremonies, hear the confessions of the faithful, and organize and lead rituals on holy days. They are also charged with interpreting the sacred liturgies of Benelux, so they might better understand their founders vision and laws.

Disciples of the Burning Wheel (Templars)

Alignment: A Church of Law Portfolio: Justice, Order, Protection, Retribution Strictures: Obey the orders of your superiors, destroy chaos and evil wherever they may hide, promote unity even at the cost of individual liberty Hierarchy: Pontifex, Archbishop, Bishop, Priest, Deacon and Acolyte Symbol: An 8-spoked wheel, surrounded by or engulfed in flames The cult of the Burning Wheel follows the teachings and philosophies of Benelux the Pious, a reformed adventurer who claimed to have been granted divine wisdom while communing with a beneficent, but illdefined divine being. In less than two centuries, the cult rose from obscurity to become one of the most powerful religions in the Realm. Today the cult and its followers flourish, being known for their fanaticism, discipline, and staunch opposition to chaos and dark magic. In general the cult is a non-magical institution; most clergy function as celebrants, community leaders, counselors, and scholars. There are however, a select number of seemingly random individuals who have been chosen to wield miraculous and inexplicable powers (spells). These chosen few soon rise to become leaders, prophets and divine champions. Within the greater cult there are three sub-orders, each choosing to honor the Burning Wheel in their own ways.
