Interested in studying abroad this summer? Be sure to look into the Honors College's own study abroad program in Belgium, led by our former director, Dr. Steve Wainscott. Students in Dr. Wainscott's program live and study in Brussels for a month, while learning about the history of Belgium and issues involving the European Union. Not to mention the Belgian french fries (pommes frtes) and chocolate. Dr. Wainscott has a wealth of experience in , knowledge of, and enthusiasm for Belgium in general and Brussels in particular. He'll be organizing excursions to important sites and cities --including the medieval town of Ghent, and the historic battlefields at Ypres. Your courses (which can count for general education credit) are taught by European professors, so you'll get a very different perspective than you'd get in the States. There's still time to attend an information session on the Brussels Program (Tuesday at 5:30pm, Holmes basement conference room), or email Dr. Wainscott (shwns@clemson.edu) for more information. The Honors College will even help subsidize your airfare!
