Assisted in the organization of data of a longitudinal study focusing on factors that contribute to choosing undergraduate majors- The Roots of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) along side Dr. Roslyn Michelson and Dr. Elizabeth Stearns from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Specific responsibilities included transcribing phone interviews of participants, and focused on relevant qualitative data. Book Editor/Advisor Summer 2013

Edited and advised in several chapters in a published book titled Vagina Revolution, that discusses the physical, political, and mental aspects of the female genitalia. Peer Advising- Psychology Department January 2012 to present

I arrange and schedule appointments for students to meet with our director of undergraduate advising, and provide scheduling advice for current and transferring psychology majors. Paraprofessional Peer Career Guide August 2013 to present

Trained and supervised by Master level school counselors and graduate assistants. Responsibilities include oneon-one 60 minute counseling sessions with students who are in various stages of academic and career exploration. On average six hours a week in the Career Exploration office on the Universitys campus. Trained to administer self assessment tests and activities. As a paraprofessional peer career guide, one of my responsibilities is to inform students and faculty about the Career Exploration center and what we do to contribute to the University. In the most recent semester I have performed three outreach presentations in freshman seminar classes, usually of about 20 to 30 students. These presentations are between five and 10 minutes, during which I discuss the resources that the Career Exploration center offers, where it is located, and how to schedule an appointment.

Became an initiated sister in the second semester of my freshman year. As an organization we work closely with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, granting wishes for local children diagnosed with terminal illnesses. We maintain a strong presence in the community by volunteering as a group at the local food bank and at the Watauga Humane Society. Recruitment Chair Subordinate September 2013

Assisted the recruitment chair during the fall recruitment season. Worked diligently using excel spreadsheets containing over five hundred participants names. Contributed to the organization, decoration, and delivery of each individual recruitment event. Certified WASU 90.5 DJ March 2012 to present

Passed a written exam that qualifies students to access and use radio equipment in the studio.

Seasonal job while also balancing six hours of summer school classes and 13 hours that fall semester. While working here I gained superior customer service knowledge as a retail associate. Trained and authorized to open up and close down cash registers, accept new inventory, and to restock floors. I gained creative skills and experiences working with children as a face painter for all ages. AquaVentures Swim Academy, Raleigh NC Summer 2011

Provided private swim lessons for children of all skill levels. While working here I gained a great deal of patience working directly with the children and their families.
