Grade The degree of hoarseness or voice abnormality Rough Irregularity of vocal fold vibration. Irregular fluctuations in the fundamental frequency and/or the amplitude of the glottal source sound. Breathy Extent of air leakage through the glottis, related to turbulence. Asthenic Weakness or lack of power in the voice, related to weak intensity of the glottal source sound and/ or a lack of higher harmonics Hyperfunctional state of phonation. It is related to an Strained abnormally high fundamental frequency, noise in the high frequency range, and/or richness in high frequency harmonics.
