Guidelines For Project Report Evaluation PAPER-403: Database
PAPER-403
1. As per guidelines of the AICTE, as a part of requirements for the
2 year Full Time Post- Graduate Management Programme PGDM, each
student is required to submit a Project Study in course of his/her final
semester so as to demonstrate his/her ability to use theoretical knowledge in
practical field work in real world business situation.
2. A student is judged in terms of his/her ability to integrate class room
teaching with field study/research endeavor in his/her area of specialization.
Due credit is given for (a) Choice of Subject (b) Conceptual Clarity
(c) Analytical ability, e.g. use of Research Methodology (d) Testing of
hypothesis, if any (e) Findings (f) Conclusion and Recommendations, and
(g) the most important criterion: ORIGINALITY & UP TO DATE
DATABASE.
3. A Project study may come under any of the following categories:

The aggregate marks (100) are to be divided in two components 70% for
the Project Report+ 30% for VIVA.
4. The external and internal examiners may kindly coordinate to finalise the
award of marks on a Project Study.
5. For the category Revise & Resubmit, the student should be told at the
time of VIVA the suggested lines of improvement in his/her Project Study.
While resubmitting the Project the student will be required to fill in the
following performa in a summary sheet.

6. For the Reject & Re-do category, the student is supposed to select a new
Project Title and work on it towards submitting it within the span period of
one (1) month.

The Project study should be duly certified by the internal project guide and
by the corporate supervisor, if any.

Any late submission will require Rs. 200/- fine till the 1 st week and Rs. 300/fine during the second week.

during the second week; thereafter the evaluation, even with fine for backlog paper, will
be conducted next year.
Note : The Project Guide may kindly see that the above schedule is strictly adhered to and if any student
fails to submit the project by due date, the guide is responsible for any delay if any. Faculty guide is
requested to obtain the contact no. of the student to pursue for mid term/final review and timely submission
of the project.
