The design of the bolster plate, makes it possible to perform a wide range of punching. This includes the punching of fat bar, fange, angle, and channel. The station comes standard with quick change punch and die holders, as well as a swing away stripper. Also included are x & y coordinate gauge stops. This feature is useful for repetitive work. SECTION CUTTING This station comes standard with blades for cutting solid round and square stock. Alternatively, it can be equipped with easily removable blades for cutting tees, channel, and I-beam profles. There is also an adjustable hold down for clamping the profle during the cutting process. ANGLE CUTTING Blades are four sided and easily installed and rotated. The cavity is designed in such a way to allow the mitering of angles (IWS Multi only). An easy adjustable hold down provides for proper clamping of the material while it is being sheared. Shown with special Z aperture on 45 M. FLAT BAR SHEARING An easily adjustable hold down ensures proper clamping of the plate. An entry feed table has adjustable guides and stops to make sure the material is accurately placed under the cutting blades. The blades are manufactured in such a way that allows cutting of a wide range of material thickness at a low rake angle and without the need for adjustment. IW SERIES SINGLE CYLINDER IRONWORKERS FEATURES DURMA NOTCHING This station comes standard with rectangular notching blades which allow side notching, therefore allowing notching of unlimited widths. Vee notching blades can easily be installed, and are available as an option. TWIST AND DROP PUNCH HOLDER A twist & drop style punch holder provides for fast, easy, and accurate tool changes. SWING AWAY STRIPPER A swing away style punch stripper allows proper stripping of the part. It is easily moved away for greater access to the punch and die area. TOUCH & CUT ELECTRICAL BACK STOP 39 Back stop with electrical touch and cut feature that aligns to all shearing stations. Shown with special Z aperture on 45 M. PUNCHING STATION WITH LARGE GAUGING TABLE In the dual cylinder models, two foot pedals and two power cylinders allow for two operators to be operating the machine at the same time. Another advantage to this series, is the punch cylinder cycles straight up and down instead of at an arc. This provides for better punch and die alignment. In fact actually provided for a punch press station in which you can mount a wide variety of punching applications. The punch station is designed with versatility mind. ANGLE MITERING The angle station allows mitering at 45 degrees. The capacity is less than the 90 degree mitering capabilities. ANGLE STATION The angle cavity is equipped with an easily adjustable hold down to increase sheared blank quality. IW SERIES DUAL CYLINDER IRONWORKERS FEATURES DURMA ANGLE MITERING & FLAT BAR STATION It is possible to miter the leg of an angle at 5 degrees in the fat bar shear station. LARGE THROAT & GAUGING TABLE A large throat and gauge table is standard on the dual cylinder models. The table is equipped with recessed measuring scales calibrated to the center line of the punch. Side and rear gauge stops are also included. A larger throat is available as an option and a 24 throat is standard on the 120 ton models. SWING AWAY STRIPPER A swing away style punch stripper allows proper stripping of the part. It is easily moved away for greater access to the punch and die area. CHANNEL WEB PUNCHING The specially shaped punch station bolster allows punching holes in the web of profles.
