Overview
The S713D ber link provides two-way transmission of 10Base-T
Ethernet data over distances up to 1.2 mi (2.0 km). It combines
the benets of advanced engineering with the highest quality
standards in the industry. These links are available as standalone
modules or rack cards.
Secure Data Transmission
The S713D makes it possible to add the security and efciency of
transmission over ber to local area networks (LANs) and other
Ethernet applications.
Superior Diagnostics
The SMARTS diagnostic technology provides constant monitoring
of the link and the equipment connected to it. LEDs display the sta-
tus of the built-in self-test functions. Displays show the status of the
optical signal, input and output data, link status, and polarity state.
These built-in test functions allow the status of the link and the data
system to be determined at a glance.
