EXAMINATIONS The Computer Science programme uses several forms of examination, from individual to project exams. 1st YEAR EXAM PROJECT (EXTERNAL) The purpose of the first year is to give students the skills independently and in collaboration with others primarily to develop single-user systems. The first year ranges from the subject of pre- analysis to administration and operation. This takes place using a systematic progression incorporating technological and business aspects. PROGRAMMING EXAM - 3rd SEMESTER ORAL (INTERNAL) No later than a week prior to the examination a list of main subjects in the area of Programming will be published. The main subjects include the most important subjects in the area and form the basis of the Programming part of the examination. At the examination the student draws a subject. The student is expected to be able to present the drawn Programming topic. The presentation must include both a theoretical presentation and a review of practical programming examples. TECHNOLOGY EXAMINATION - 3rd SEMESTER ORAL (INTERNAL) The student draws a question in the area of Technology. The main emphasis is on the subject of Computer Networks and Distributed Systems. System development examination 4th semester Project (internal) For the oral part of the examination, students will be examined in the whole of the subject of System Development. The project is usually carried out in project groups of 3-4 students. SPECIALIST SUBJECT EXAMINATION 4th SEMESTER Synopsis + oral (internal) During the examination the student presents his/her individual subject as described in the specialist subject report. The subsequent examination is based on the examinee's presentation and report, but other topics from the subject and any optional modules may also be incorporated. Work experience examination 5th semester Synopsis + oral (internal) Participants: The student and work experience tutors from the educational establishment. At the examination, the student presents and details his/her individual course as described in the synopsis. The subsequent examination is based on the examinee's presentation. EXAMINATION IN THE FINAL EXAMINATION PROJECT 5th SEMESTER Project (external) The subject of the final examination project is formulated by the student in consultation with the Academy and as far as possible in consultation with a company. The Academy approves the wording of the project. The examination in the final examination project therefore comprises a project and an oral part. The final examination project must document that the level required at the final examination of the course has been attained. The examination project usually takes place in groups of up to 3 students. The examination project is submitted to the Academy in the form of a report and a product, if applicable, in three copies. The product may be e.g. a programme, a system, an analysis or a survey. Pictures on this page: An APP developed in collaboration with Jobindex, to be used when looking for a new job on the go.
