time I am going for hunting of grey francolins in Musa KhelBaluchistan.
I was very excited because my friends told me that this is a very beautiful place and also there are lots of
francolins.
I woke up early in the morning but a tragedy happened my Aunt died on that day so I visited their house
and it could seem awkward but we started our journey we bought some fruits for all the friends I was
sitting in a jeep along with my friends and our other group mates were sitting in a double cabin along
with our all luggage.
We staopped atDaraban at ChachaDrazi hotel one of our local host to have our tea and offered our
prayers.
After that we pick a pet grey francolin from
ChaChadrazi to traf the other grey frncolin and
started our journey.
We all were very excited we crossed Dana Sarat 5 pm
and we offered our prayers at a police check post,
then we started our journey suddenly our jeep started
missing but after some time it started work and when
we reached near sangar check post it stop running
any how we reached sangar check post we all were
Sangar Check Postvery hungry and nothing was available in the hotel because the time was 8 pm and
it was December. We searched for mechanic but shops were closed but after some time we a mechanic
came but he was not very expert any how he check it and do something and our jeep started working.
So we started our journey towards the destination one of our driver knows about the route we loaded
our guns for rabbit if it comes in our way we will make him hunt.

Any how we reached at our place at 9:30 but our host policemen were not at the Toisar Thana where
we were supposed to stay I government along with his labor was there and he was not permitting us to
stay and the big problem at that place was cell phones availability but at that place there was a poit
which was 2X2 at that point only waridsim were working so we contacted the officials and then
contractor gave us the permission to live 2 rooms were empty their we cleaned the room and spread
our beddings and blankets some of our friends started cooking we slaughter 2 hens and make Sobat (a
traditional dish
So we offered our Esha prayer the temperature was -2 or -3 at that time and a cool breeze was blowing
so we started playing cards and then after some time cook called us for dinner after having our dinner
we all slept because we were deadly tired.
The very next morning I woke up and searched for hot water for ablution because the water othside the
building was freeze.
After having prayer we all have our breakfast and started our journey at the place where we were
listening the voices of grey francolin.
When we were loading our belongings like guns water etc one of our friend Iqbal (kikri) placed the cage
of the pet behind our jeep and cage was covered with cloth nobody knows what was in this cloth when
shehzad one of our friend started th jeep and reverse it the tyre of jeep crushed the cage, I am watching
all this but I also donat have any idea what is in this cloth I pick the cloth and see the francolin was
crushed badly and died.
I call all the friends they all become sad any how wit the sad faces we started our journey a few KMs
away from our living place we same Pigeons and there are around about 1500 pigeons we planned to
hunt these we divide our self into four groups and started walking but one of our friend made a mistake
and they all flew away when we all were coming back we saw a flock of francolins and Kashif our group
leader and shehzad fired at them and we shoot 2 frsncolins.
We started walking behind the other ones and we saw another flock which was very big running on the
ground we shoot them and hunt 6 to 7 we started walking again and at the time of 12 pm we feel tired
and round about 16 Francolins in our hand we decided to move back and have our Lunch then after an
hour or two we will come again so all agreed when we reached Toisarthana our cook was not there we
search him but not found him then we realize our luggage was also not there nothing was there the
labour and contractor told us that FC police came there arrest your man and took all your luggage and
went to Musa Khelonly our meal was there but we forgot all of our hunger and thirst.
We feel very disappointed and divided into two groups some were saying that we will not go there to
bring our cook back and some were saying No we will go and bring our cook back so all agreed on this
and we started our journey to Musa khel city.

Musakhel is one of the most diverse districts in the province and aesthetically and ecologically provides
unique habitat. It is a home of hundreds of species of plants and animals, many of which are found
nowhere else in the whole province. The climate is arid and subtropical, and mostly receives monsoon
shower during summer. The natural vegetation of the area consists of sub-tropical thorn forest. Survey
for the identification of Biodiversity Hotspots of Musakhel District was carried out during the year 2005.
The area has many species and habitats of global biodiversity significance.
For the identification and assessment of biodiversity situation in Musakhel district study was carried out
based on review of secondary data and data collection in the physical environmental features
(topography, soil, geology, climate and water), biological characteristics (ecology, flora and fauna),
socio-economic conditions, and their analysis.
The study was conducted in seven main areas in the District, which were thoroughly surveyed. Field data
have been collected in accordance with biodiversity survey methodology developed. In seven areas of
District approximately 1,600 Km area was surveyed.
According to the survey of targeted areas, of the nearly
111 plant species recorded in Musakhel area, 102 species
were identified and 9 species are under identification
Pinuswallichianais listed as an endangered species. There
are estimated 50 medicinal plants that could play an
important role in the villages. Fourteen mammal species,
32 birds species, 7 reptile species, 4amphibian species
and 6 butterflies species were recorded during the
survey. Among others, Sulaiman Markhore and Urial have
special importance.
Keeping all these in mind when we entered in this district
I was very amazed to see this city only 2 gasoline pumps
1 hotel I asked my friends is this district they replied yes.
Anyhow we were pleased by one thing our cell phones
started working there. My friend Kashif called DPO of
that area and he told us to come one of our group went
to DPO and the other friends went in search of gasoline I
A smile which speaks a lot am with the other group so after some time we found a gasoline station we
put the gasoline in our vehicle and offered our prayers.
So we planned to go to bazar to have some tea and to purchase some bread.
As we entered in the market which consist of 30 to 50 shops then we found a hotel and asked him to
give us bread and also order tea after some time I realize everyone is gazing us but we never gave any
attention after getting bread I receive a phone call from Shehzad to come to DPO office then we all
moved to DPO office.
DPO was an ass hole he was the friend of Kashif and DPO can do anything and he can released our cook
by one call but he was a greedy person but he dont know (asan we oundeypiuhain) how clever we are.
After some time he send me to the FC Thana to o and get your cook.
As I entered in the thana it was very old FC station I saw our cook Misri he was very pleased to see me I
ask him have you eat the meal or have they gave you tea he replied yes.
Then I met with the head of this FC station he told me why you broke our lock in Toisarthana and why
you have never informed us. I said no we never broke your lock the contractor broke them.
He asked from me that WHO is Malta sab, Commander Sab and Andha sab I said why he said are they
foreigner your cook told us that they are my boss.
I said no these are the nick names of our friends he laughed and said ok.
He said I can never release your man any how we move back to DPO office and offer prayer after some
Time they release our man and gave our luggage back but they never gave us our expensive things like
my digital camera and many more things.
In all the mean time we are in DPO house and we are his guest but he never offered us tea we never
expect meal from him but he never offered tea any how we do a little favor with us by giving a guest
quarter for a night so we thanks DPO and move to our quarters we have had our dinner and have a cup
of tea and planned to move from there early in the morning.
