This connector is plugged into a computer using a DSUB-9pin cable.
6 CN5
A CAN tool, value CAN as an example, can be plugged into this connector if necessary.
7 POWER IN
Connected to a 12 V DC power supply. The yellow wire is connected to the positive side; the black wire, to ground.
8 POWER Switches
B+SW: Push up the lever, and battery power will be supplied to the system (FCIM, FDIM, ACM).
ACC SW: Push up the lever, and power will be supplied to pin 14 (SW ACC) of CN1-TK16. Note that the ACC Switch has
nothing to do with the power supply of FCIM, FDIM and ACM. Push both levers down at first.
9 POWER OUT (B+, ACC TERMINAL)
Voltages will appear at these terminals interlocked with the POWER Switches shown above, and power can be supplied to
peripheral devices using these terminals.
10 IGNITION KEY Switch
This switch simulates the ignition key of a vehicle. It has five switch points (Door Open/KEY OFF/ACC/RUN/START).
Turn the switch clockwise to ACC: The system will come on. Turning switch counterclockwise to Door Open will turn the
system off. Operate the switch slowly to prevent malfunction.
11 KEY POSITION INDICATOR
The LEDs show the position of the IGNITION KEY SW. All LEDs turned off shows Door Open.
12 VEHICLE Switches
REV SW: Pushing up the lever will have the same effect as the automatic transmission lever being set to the reverse
position.
ILL SW: Pushing up the lever will have the same effect as turning the vehicle headlights/running lights on. Each time this
switch is pushed up, the brightness of the FCIM illumination will change.
PKB SW: Pushing up the lever will have the same effect as pulling the parking brake. Push all the switches down first.
13 VEHICLE SPEED Simulation
Turning the rotary switch will change the simulated vehicle speed. Turning the rotary switch fully counterclockwise will
stop the vehicle. Set the vehicle to the stop status at first.
14 TEST BIT Switches
These switches change the operation mode of the ACM: Set all levers down for ordinary operation, and set the switches to a
specified state for operation in the XTP mode. Turning on the system power supply again will change the operation mode
of ACM.

ACM for Brick (No.002F)
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION AND POWER-UP SEQUENCE
3.4 Dengen Box Operating Instructions - Power (On and off) Sequences
3.4.1 Power ON procedure
(1) Connect the devices as shown in the system connection diagram (reference Section 3.1).
(2) Before activating the power supply, check the switches on the Dengen Box:
- B+, ACC SWs: OFF (levers must be down).
- Ignition key SW: Set to Door OPEN or OFF.
- Rev, ILL, PKB SWs: OFF (levers must be down).
- TEST BITS SWs (B0/B1/B2): Either Eng. Eval mode (Down/Up/Up) or XTP mode (Up/Up/Down).
- VEHICLE SPEED SW: Set to the stop status.
(3) Supply 13.5 V DC from the power supply to the Dengen Box.
(4) Turn the B+ switch on.
This will supply the battery + power to each unit.
(5) Turn the key switch clockwise to the ACC position.
The splash screen (Ford logo) will soon appear in the display, and the system will begin to operate. The signal from the key
switch is input to DCU, converted to an MS-CAN command, and input to each module, such as ACM: The power supplies
of each module, including ACM, will then turn on or off.
3.4.2 Power OFF procedure
(1) Turn the ignition key SW counterclockwise to the Door OPEN position.
The display screen will soon disappear, and the system will end operations.
(2) Make sure that the ammeter of the power supply reads 10 mA or less before turning the B+ switch off.
The current will not decrease immediately because the HDD is operating inside the ACM: Turning the B+ switch off
without checking the reading on the ammeter could cause the HDD to crash.
