There is a lot of information in this spread sheet. In its current form, it may be difficult to analyze the
information and come to any conclusions. In order to make the analysis more feasible, you have access to
this data in an Excel spreadsheet.
Below is an example of one way to analyze the data. The graph shows how many total cases were reported
each week since March.
Working with your group, use the data to come to some conclusions.
2. Have the percentages of fatalities changed since the beginning of this outbreak. Give some examples.
3. Does the rate of spread seem to be steady, increasing, or decreasing? Give some examples.
4. Do some countries seem to be handling this devastation more successfully than other? Give examples
and hypothesize why that might be so.
5. List 3 comparisons, graphs, or calculations that you can make with the data provided in the
spreadsheet.
6. Pick one (from your list above), and make the comparison/graph/calculation to demonstrate your
analysis and observations.
