:Paraphrase #
In this poem, the speaker takes into consideration an
old matter "question". It is centered around the inevitable
end of the world which we live in. To him, some people
believe that fire will lead to the destruction of this universe
while some other people believe that ice can put an end to
this world .The speaker agrees to the first notion but he
believes that ice is great ,enough and sufficient for the
. destruction of this universe
:Form #
This poem is an invented form. It is irregular form.
It is given in 9 lines as one verse paragraph. One
verse paragraph is given to us as one unit block.
The 9 lines differ in length.line, 2-8-9 are given to us
in 4 syllables while the other in 8 syllables. It can be
'weak-strong' or ' strong-weak ' to keep the iambic.
Rhythm #
:There are two different beat
If 'that' is added to L.1, it will be 9 syllables and that
will break the rhythm.
That what we used in our language to keep the
rhythm.
