    This exhibit is open to members in good standing of the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild, i.e., those who have
    fulfilled participation requirements and paid their 2015 dues. Calendar year 2015 dues are $35. Participation
    requirements also include volunteering or signing up to volunteer with the Guild prior to Receiving AND
    attendance at two (2) Guild business meetings in the calendar year 2014. If you would like to discuss volunteer
    opportunities, you may contact Lorraine Capps at lorrainecapps@embarqmail.com.
    Accepted media: stone, glass, clay, fiber, wood, metal, sculpture, jewelry, mixed media, and photography.
    Entries must be ready to display with all necessary hangers. Maximum weight is 75 lbs. for pedestal pieces, and 40 lbs.
    for wall pieces.
    Each artist may enter a maximum of three (3) wall pieces and three (3) pedestal pieces. Pedestals should be provided if
    you have them; jewelry pieces must include display stands or shadow boxes. Wall pieces must be wired to hang on the
    VACs slat wall-hanging system, wires must be wrapped, and no wires should be visible once pieces are installed.
    All items must be for sale.
    Artists statements must be provided. Briefly state relevant information about your pieces and/or yourself.
    Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded as follows: 1st place $200; 2nd place $150; 3rd place $75; one merit award $25;
    one honorable mention ribbon.
    All art work must be original: pieces made from kits, commercial patterns, molds, decals, or with instructor-supplied
    design are not acceptable. Pieces made from commercial molds, decals, or patterns where the mold, decal, or pattern is
    the dominant design or feature are not acceptable. Technique can be copied. However, copying other artists work is
    copyright infringement, including copying from photographs on the internet or in books or magazines or in-person
    copying. Any such copies place the Guild in jeopardy, and will not be accepted. If you have questions regarding the
    entry of pieces, please contact the Peer Review Committee. No giclees or reproductions of any kind are permitted.
    Damaged pieces and pieces with unfinished details may be declined and removed from the exhibit at any time.
    Each artist must submit a signed Waiver.
    Collaborative pieces must be listed as such and will count as one piece for each person listed. No one will be able to
    enter more than a total of three (3) wall pieces and three (3) pedestal pieces.

    Fees and Commissions:


    1.
    Entry fees are $25 for the first and second pieces entered, an additional $10 for the third and fourth pieces, and an
    additional $5 for the fifth and sixth pieces.
    2.
    Entry fees are not refundable. Please make checks payable to the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild.
    3.
    VAC will retain a 40% commission on all sales, including the sales of VAC members. Please take this into
    consideration when pricing your work.
    4.
    RESPONSIBILITY: While every effort will be made to handle all work with care and to protect from loss, neither the
    Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild nor the Visual Arts Center will be liable for loss or damage.
    5.
    Submission of work for this exhibition and signing the Waiver will constitute an agreement to these conditions,
    including dates for exhibiting work, removing work, and permission to photograph for publicity purposes. Neither the
    Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild nor the Visual Arts Center will be responsible for work left beyond the specified
    pick-up time. ARTISTS MAY NOT REMOVE WORK BEFORE THE REMOVAL DATE SHOWN.

    Volunteers are needed for Receiving, Installation, creating the program & posters, hosts for the Reception, food, paper
    products, set-up, and break-down for the Reception, as well as Removal. We will also need to coordinate efforts
    regarding car-pooling and helping those who cannot make the trip with all of the above. Please let Lorraine Capps know
    if you would like to volunteer.
