How to: Install SQL Server 2005

Note*All ICG POS systems come with SQL Server Installed.


We are not responsible for installing SQL Server to any other system for any purpose.
If any questions please contact Microsoft at 1-800-Microsoft (642-7676).

The SQL Server Installation Wizard provides a single feature tree for installation of all SQL Server
components so that you do not have to install the following components individually:

Database Engine
Analysis Services
Reporting Services
Integration Services
Replication
Management tools
Connectivity components

SQL Server 2005 32-bit System Requirements


This table shows hardware requirements for installing and running SQL Server 2005 on the 32-bit platform.

System Configuration Checker (SCC) will block Setup if the requirement for processor type is not met.

SCC will warn the user but will not block Setup if the minimum or recommended processor speed check is not met. No

warning will appear on multiprocessor machines.

requirements are for this release only, and do not reflect additional memory requirements of the operating system. SCC
verifies the memory available when Setup starts.
