In the first quarter of 2012, worldwide smart phone shipment reached 147.3 million units;
Asia Pacific accounted for more than 40% of the total shipment, a 61% year-to-year increase.
Among regions, Asia Pacific has the second lowest market penetration after Africa and
Middle East at 78%. This all indicates a strong growth story ahead.
