Abstract:
The Digital Parking System will enhance the utilization of parking space and help
user check the availability of the parking space. It will be helpful in reducing
congestion in or near parking areas, insufficient utilization of the available parking
space, road congestion caused by space searching traffic, access problems and safety
hazards caused by illegal parking.
Introduction:
A digital parking system is a system that multiplies parking capacity inside
a parking lot. There are two types of car parking systems: traditional and digital.
Digital car parking systems are likely to be more cost effective when compared to
traditional ones.
Ours is a digital parking system that enhances the utilization of parking space and
help user to check the availability of the parking space. On an entry of a car in the
parking area admin would enter the details of the user and allot a slot as per the
availability. On exit of the car amount would be charged as the duration for which the
car was parked.
Problem statement:
METHODOLOGY:
This system includes four modules: Admin, Customer Registration, Car entry and
Car exit. Master page (Admin module) provides link to other modules.
1- Admin Module - Provides access to the system by entering id and password.
2- Customer Registration- Includes customer details such as name, e-mail id,
car plate no., mobile number, address etc.
3- Car Entry- Keeps record of time at which car enters the parking area and is
allotted space accordingly.
4- Car Exit- Keeps record of the time at which the car exits the parking area and
amount would be charged as per the time durations.
RESULTS &DISCUSSIONS:
In this project digital parking system has been presented. It is efficient in alleviating
the traffic problem that arises especially in the city area where traffic congestion and
the insufficient parking spaces are undeniable. It does so by optimizing the use of
parking spaces.
CONCLUSIONS:
In this project the development of a digital parking system is successfully
implemented. The design is obviously an efficient one because compared to other
existing design it can handle more cars in a limited space. The mechanism is also
simpler and cost effective. From the simulated result it can be shown that the structure
can be designed and implemented for the parking of any type of vehicles.
