PSRG Milling technology can be gainfully employed in new installations or retrofits. A vast number of used ball and tube mills with sufficient residual life are readily available world wide at throw-away prices. These mills can be effectively retrofitted with PSRG Technology for optimised productivity at economical costs and installed in either green field or plant expansions.

Let us employ SRG and PSRG Technology
Reengineering is rather uncommon in the substantially prevailing pracataice of employing
used cement plant machinery, especially media grinding mills in either expansion or green field plants. Re-engineering is always benefitial. SRG and PSRG technology employs roller as the grinding element in a horizantal shell in place of conventional grinding media such as rods , balls and cylpebs. SRG mills usually function in close circuit with a suitable classifier to result in optimised production of required fineness product, and usually employs speeds much higher than critical mill speed of ball mills. One SRG mill can be integrated along with another PSRG mill or vice versa. PSRG mills employ compound milling comprising both roller grinding and centrifugal grinding. The main advantage of PSRG mill technology is that the mill can function as a single pass open circuit mill thus avoiding the many auxiliaries of the close circuit grinding system. PSRG has wider operational flexibility: we can employ roller grinding only for obtaining higher outputs and fineness of product controlled by limited centrifugal grinding with rod/balls as media. The mill speed can be varied over a wide range depending upon the prime mover rating. We can operate the mill as lower speed for reduced output or operate at higher speed for increasing the output. We can have a variable speed motor or a two speed motor as prime mover. Two PSRG mills can be integrated together with a single drive arrangement, for higher production rates. Alternatively, each PSRG mill can be employed for separate grinding of constituents and blend the outputs together to get the desired product, as in case of Portland slag cement or Portland pozolan cement. If so required, one PSRG can be employed for grinding of fuel and the other PSRG mill for grinding of raw materials, thus obviating the additional need of separate coal grinding plant. If so required, One PSRG can be employed for pre-grinding followed by finish grinding in the other PSRG unit. PSRG mill can be run as: a/ Shell roller grinding mill with roller in the inner shell grinding compartment: the ground material will get dischraged into the planetary grinding tubes for further travel and cooling prior to dischrage from the mill b/ Either a few or all the planetary tubes can be employed for further grinding to improve fineness still limiting the overall power consumption c/ Tne media loading can be varied easily in each of the planetary tubes thus optimising the grinding and power consumption levels. d/ The mill speed is not limited as in case of conventinal ball mills, and can be varied to achieve desired production levels. e/ The air flow through each PSRG can be varied independent of the other PSRG mill. f/ The PSRG mill if so required can be linked with a suitable classifier for further increasing the outputs by close circuiting at a later stage,
