Introduction:
Background of the Study:
Human Resource is the most important resource/asset for any organization and it is a
source of getting competitive advantage. It has been considered very difficult to manage
HRM practices refer to organizational activities which are directed at managing the pool
of Human resource that ensures that this resource is being employed towards the
achievement of organizational goals. The purpose of this research is to create an
understanding of HR Practices and this is the most discussed topic among researchers.
Human Resource is considered to be important part of the organizational success and
failure (Baron and Kreps,1999). Organizational development is an ongoing and
systematic process. So the management, keeping this in view deploys trainings make
decisions on reward structures, setup teams allocate decision rights and so on.
By doing this they provide opportunities to perform a human beings rather than as
resource in their productive process. It is a department which makes such an
environment in which, it is to find exciting and challenging work.
Organizational development/organizational growth is a body of knowledge
and practice that enhances organizational performance and individual
development by increasing alignment among the various systems within the
overall system. The interventions are inclusive methodologies and
approaches to strategic planning, organizational design, leadership
development, change management, coaching, diversity, team building and
work life balance. It is a field of research, theory and practice dedicated to
expanding the knowledge and effectiveness of people to accomplish more
successful organizational change and performance.
An OD consultant in the organization suggests a way to create change in the
organization. There are varieties of strategies that lead to change in an
organization. They can be directed towards individual, work group or the
entire organization. Successful HR practices are collaborative and future
oriented.
Through HR organizations can improve effective, achieve goals ,build
capacity and creatively manage challenges and change.
Human relations studies from the 1930s shows that psychologists realized
that organizational structures and processes influence worker behavior and
motivation. More recently work on Organizational Development has
expanded to focus aligning organizations with their rapid changing and
complex environments through organizational learning, knowledge
management and transformation of organizational norms and values
Problem Statement
In HR practices human beings are pitched against such odd environment and activities,
where they not only feel be little and helpless, under reasons of economy, societal
limitations or at times pressing needs. This certain existing practices do help the
employees and also have direct bearing on the growth of the firm there are no. of
factors which effect the growth of the organization such as Working Environment, Job
Security, Compensation Policies, Training and development, selective hiring, employee
Welfare, Talent Management and Employee retention. Among the aforesaid factor they
not only provide confidence to the employees but also affords them a piece of relief that
with each passing year, they will also be getting closer to their elevation as per the
career progression structure.
Objectives:
1. To increase the level of inter personal trust among employees.
2. To find out how to increase employees level of satisfaction and commitment.
3. How to strengthen interpersonal trust, cooperation and communication for the
successful achievements of organizational goals.
Hypothesis
Timely action on Career Progression has a positive impact on employee performance
and growth of the organization
The employee welfare measure including financial help on marriage of employees
daughter will have positive effect
Financial help on demise of employees family member have a positive impact on
employee performance and motivation
Provision of bonuses quarterly or bi-annual will also have a positive effect on
