SUGGESTED 14 DAY ITINERARY

Sydney Harbour

The Coast Track, Royal National Park

Sydney Harbour National Landscape immerses visitors

in the contrasting and spellbinding scenery, culture and
personality of Australia. It features Aboriginal cultural
heritage, lively terrestrial and marine environments,
journeys into Australias convict history and a coastline
of world famous beaches. This itinerary takes in many of
the highlights along the walking tracks and waterways
of the Sydney Harbour National Landscape. Enjoy a
couple of days in different parts of the landscape or
immerse yourself in the full two-week adventure.
View from Bradleys Head

DAYS 1 - 2
Palm Beach/Pittwater/Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park
Start the day with a walk along the golden sand of Palm Beach to Barrenjoey Lighthouse. Take a
guided tour of the lighthouse then head back down along the walking track to Pittwater. Here,
the calm waters are a divers delight and perfect for paddling. Kayak to Resolute or West Head
Beaches or take the ferry to Mackerel Beach. Enjoy a bushwalk to see ancient rock engravings and
hand stencils made by the Kuringgai people. Walk from Mona Vale headland to Manly Lagoon
and youll see a variety of plants, animals and birds as you pass through rugged headlands,
secluded beaches, coastal dunes and wetlands.

DAYS 3 - 4
Manly/North Head/Clontarf/Sydney Harbour National Park
Take an early morning surfing lesson at Manly Beach. From Shelly Beach you can walk or cycle
up to North Head. The North Head Sanctuary is a haven for a variety of species, and host
to important military forts and historic sites. Visit the Quarantine Station, the first stop for
many migrants to Australia from the 1830s. Stay overnight in beautifully restored heritage
accommodation at Q Station Retreat and take the spooky night-time ghost tour. Walk Manly
to The Spit, a section of the Great Coastal Walk. Along the way youll see some ancient rock
engravings of the Cammeraigal people.

Head, take some time to admire the view of two Australian icons: the
Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Bradleys Head is
a popular place with locals for a spot of fishing or to watch the sunset.
Experience the overnight Roar & Snore at Sydneys Taronga Zoo.

Take the Bondi to Malabar section of the Great Coastal Walk to be

rewarded with stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock
pools. Youll pass Waverley Cemetery, one of the most scenic burial
grounds in the world and the final resting place of famous Australian
