Jack and The Beasnstalk
Jack and The Beasnstalk
JACK and his mother were very poor. All they had was one cow.
One day, Jacks mother said, Go and sell our cow and bring the money back to
me.
Jack took the cow away to sell. On the way he met a man who wanted to buy the
cow.
I have no money, said the man. But I will give you five magic beans for your
cow.
All right, said Jack, and he gave the man his cow.
Jack took the beans back to his mother. She was very angry.
These beans are no good to us, she said. And she threw the beans out of the
window.
The next day when Jack woke up, he saw a giant beanstalk outside his window.
I want to climb to the top, said Jack.
Jack started to climb the beanstalk.
No, Jack, no! said Jacks mother, but Jack climbed up and up and up to the
very top of the beanstalk.
Jack saw a giant castle with a giant door. When he opened the door he saw a
giant woman.
Look out, said the woman. My husband is coming. He will eat you up!
Fee fi fo fum, watch out everyone, HERE I COME! roared the giant.
You must hide, said the woman. And she hid Jack in a cupboard.
The giant came in and sat down at the table with some giant bags of money. He
started to count his money. Jack watched him from inside the cupboard.
Soon, the giant fell asleep. Jack came out of the cupboard and took all the
money. Then he climbed down the beanstalk and gave the money to his mother.
PINOCCHIO
Many years ago, there lived a poor man named Geppetto. He made puppets from pieces
of wood. He called his favorite puppet Pinocchio. I would love to be a father to a real boy, he
wished.
That night, a fairy who knew Geppetto was a good man, cost a magic spell over
Pinocchio, Pinocchio.
The very next day, Gappetto awake and was very happy to find that Pinocchio could
walk, sit and talk. Poor Gappeto wanted to send Pinocchio to school. He sold his only coat for a
spelling book.
Now you can go to school like a real boy. Said Gappetto as we waved goodbye to
Pinocchio.
On the way to school, Pinocchio stopped to wacth a puppet show in a town. How would
you like to join my puppet show? Asked the evil puppet master. Pinocchio happily agreed. He
was locked inside the evil puppet masters caravan. He wished he was safe with Gappetto. The
good fairy suddenly appeared. She had heard Pinocchios wish and set him free. Pinocchio is
happy to be free. Im going straight to school, he said.
On the way, he met an evil fox who told him all about a wonderful place called fun
island. Pinocchio forgot all about school and gave the fox his spelling book in return for a ticket
to Fun island.
Where are you going, Pinocchio? Asked good fairy. Im on the way to school, lied
Pinocchio. Pinocchios nose grew very, very long. He wished he hadnt told a lie. The fairy
called a bird to peck of his long nose because Pinocchio was very sorry. Pinocchio promised
never to be naughty ever again and went straight to school.
At school, Pinocchio told his friend all about fun island. His friend wanted to go with
him. Pinocchio and his hurriedly climbed aboard a ship that was going to Fun Island.
On the island they didnt know that little boys were turned into donkeys and used for very
hard work. Pinocchio cried and wished he hadnt come the island. He also wished didnt look
like a silly donkey. The fairy had heard his wish and with a wave of her magic wand his donkey
ears and tail disappeared. Pinocchio sad on the shore, sadly looking out to the sea. He wondered
if he would ever see Geppetto again.
Suddenly he saw Geppetto who had sailed out to the sea in search of Pinocchio. Geppetto
didnt see the huge whale behind him. The whale swallowed Geppetto and his boat. Pinocchio
knew he had to save Geppetto. He jumped into the water and swam with all his might. As he got
closer, the whale open his mouth and Pinocchio swam right in. Deep inside the whales belly,
Pinocchio and Geppetto hugged each other, happy to be together again.
We must find a way out, Said Geppetto, We will make a fire from the wood of my
boat. The smoke made the whale sneeze. They shot out of the whales mouth and back into the
sea.
Pinocchio and Geppetto swam safely to shore. They were both tired. They laid on the
sand and fell asleep.
When Geppetto awoke, Pinocchio had become a real boy. At last my wish has come
true! cried Geppetto.
Once upon a time, an old woman and her husband lived alone
in a little old house. The couple had no children, and being lonely,
the woman decided to make a boy of gingerbread. She carefully
mixed the batter, rolled out the dough, and cut out out a very nice
gingerbread man. She added sugar icing for his hair, mouth, and
clothes, and she used candy chips for buttons and eyes. What a fine
looking gingerbread man he was! The old woman put him in the
oven to bake. After he was fully done, she slowly opened the oven
door. Up jumped the gingerbread man, and he ran out the door
saying,
"Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me! I'm the
Gingerbread Man!"
The old woman and the old man ran after him, but they could
not catch him.
And so the Gingerbread Man ran and ran. While he running, he met a cow.
"Moo," said the cow. "You look very fine! Fine enough to eat!"
the cow started to chase to little man.
And
"N..e..i..g..h...Neigh," said the horse. "You look might tasty! I think that
I would like to eat you."
"But you can't!" said the Gingerbread Man.
"I ran away from an old woman. I ran away from an old man. I ran away
from a cow, and I can run away from you! I can!"
And so he ran singing,
"Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me! I'm the Gingerbread
Man!"
The horse ran after the Gingerbread Man, but he could not catch him.
