Overview
Designed base on distributed model, multi-process, and module conception,
Unitrans ZXONM E300 is a Network Management System of Network Element
level which can be operated on UNIX/WINDOWS platform.
Having the ability of sub-network management, this system can unify such
management functionalities as configuration, trouble-shooting, performance
management, maintenance, end-to-end circuit management, security, system
and report management as well as TDM, ATM, Ethernet management for all
ZTE's optical transmission equipment in ZXMP and ZXWM series. Besides
Transport System functionality, it can realize the management and control of NE
and Regional network. The system, which is designed and developed according
to the ITU-T recommendation related to TMN, has powerful management
functionality and flexible networking ability.

Characteristics
Advanced architecture and high scalability
With a distributed architecture, the E300 is highly flexible and expansible. GUI, manager and the database can
operate on one computer, or on several computers. Furthermore, a Manager may comprise several sub-Managers,
and can be configured flexibly according to the network scale and equipment configuration. The Sub-Manager
can be added or deleted dynamically.
Multi-process design
Support STM4 and STM1 services;Support E1/T1 and Adopting the multi-process design, ZXONM E300 kernel
can process several tasks in one time. Multiple GUI may log in manager at the same time, manager may manage
multiple NE at the same time, and one user can operate in multiple windows at the same time.
ECC auto-routing based on TCP/IP protocol

The ECC of Agent adopts the automatic routing algorithm. When the equipment is inserted with optical boards
and connected with optical fibers properly, the ECC route between NEs can be created automatically without
manual configuration, thus realizing plug and play of ECC of the optical board.
Flexible main/standby protection

Active and standby NM is a dynamic protection mode of NM. ZXONM E300 has very flexible active and stand
by NM functions, and adopts the active and standby NM protection mode with NE as unit.
Intelligent performance and fault management

ZXONM E300 provides intelligent functions such as performance trend analysis, fault relative analysis and so on.
Cross-platform solution
ZXONM E300 supports several operating systems, e.g., Windows 2000/Windows NT, HP-UX and Solaris, so as
to meet the requirements of the users at different levels.
End-to-end circuit management

With subnet management function, ZXONM E300 may manage the end-to-end circuits, i.e., create and search
circuit, modify circuit source/destination port or timeslot, create batch circuit and make circuit-based alarm
processing, and create DNI networking circuits.

Perfect data consistency protection
Employing the database backup and synchronization mechanism, ZXONM E300 features the excellent security
and ensures the data consistency. For multi-GUI /multi-Manager-DB, the locking mechanism and the data
synchronization mechanism assure the synchronization and data consistency among multiple GUIs and among
multiple Managers. It also supports the database uploading and downloading. The data synchronization, subject
to Agent data or E300 data, includes the synchronization of LCT modified data.
Powerful and flexible networking function

ZXONM E300 is flexible in the networking due to GUI/Manager-DB/Agent 3-layer C/S structure. The remote
connection can be performed between GUI and Manager and between Manager and Agent so as to protect the
multi-NM system and active/standby NM.
Plentiful report management

The ZXONM E300 can make repots of Board configuration, All-network circuit, statistics of all Port Efficiency
and all Port status.
Open & standard northbound interface

ZXONM E300 offers the standard CORBA interface and SNMP interface northwards to interconnect with the
third-party network-level NM.
