EUCHARISTIC PRAYER II
Celebrant:
Lord, you are holy indeed, the fountain of all holiness. Let your Spirit come upon
these gifts to make them holy, so that they may become for us the body and blood
of our Lord Jesus Christ. Before he was given up to death, a death he freely
accepted, He took bread and gave you thanks. He broke the bread, gave it to his
disciples and said:
Take this all of you and eat it. This is my body which will be given up for you.
When supper was ended, he took the cup. Again, he gave you thanks and praise,
gave the cup to his disciples and said:
Take this all of you and drink from it. This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the
new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all men, so that sins
may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.
MEMORIAL ACCLAMATION

Celebrant:
In memory of his death and resurrection, we offer you, Father this life-giving bread,
this saving cup. We thank you for counting us worthy to stand in your presence and
to serve you. May all of us who share in the body and blood of Christ be brought
together in unity by the Holy Spirit.
Lord, remember your Church throughout the world,
Make us grow in love, together with John Paul our Pope, Soter Fernandez our
Bishop and all the clergy your Son has gained for you.
Remember our brothers and sisters who have gone to their rest in the hope of rising
again; bring them and all the departed into the light of Your presence. Have mercy
on us all; make us worthy to share eternal life with Mary the Virgin Mother of God;
with the apostles; and with all the saints who have done your will throughout the
ages.
May we praise you in union with them and give you glory through your Son, Jesus
Christ, our Lord.

Let us pray to the Lord for Name and Name who have come to Gods altar that
they may remain united in their matrimonial love and life for each other.
Holy Father, you have created mankind in your own image and made man and

their mission in this world.
Lord, grant that as Name and Name begin to live this Sacrament, they may share
with each other the gifts of your love and become one in heart and mind as witness
of your presence in their matrimonial life.
Lord, may they both praise you when they are happy and turn to you in their
sorrows. May they be glad that you help them in their work, and know that you are
with them in their need.
Lord, keep them always true to your commandments. Keep them faithful in
marriage and let them be living examples of Christian family life. Bless them with
children and help them create a home together.

SYMBOL OF LIGHT
Commentator : The lighted candle on the altar symbolizes the light of Christ. Jesus is always present in
our midst and in our lives. We are the light of the world, when we have the inspiring light of
Jesus in our lives.
NAME and NAME will now come forward to light
their candles from the light of Christ. This is to symbolize their
life, faith and strength they have drawn and will continue to
draw from Jesus Christ.
They will proceed to light the Unity Candle with their two
flames. Their blowing out of their individual candles
symbolizes their leaving behind the single status to enter the
marital status of unity.
The two flames now become one stronger flame of unity.
Love, faith and hope, with which they will give life to each
other as well as to others.
(The couple will now light the Unity Candle a symbol of their
new, united married life with each other)
Celebrant : Bless, Lord, this candle, which represent You, the foundation on which NAME and NAME
have built and established their love. May these candles remind you, NAME and NAME of the divine
sanctity of Sacrament of Marriage, which you both freely partake. These candles signifies Christ who will
be the pillar of strength and of courage in times of trials and needs. The flames of your candle, symbols of
your own life, will no longer be two separate flames, but as one, symbolizing your oneness with each
other and with the Lord.
