No mast modification typically required.
Portable Top Drive Systems
Torque Guide transmits drilling reactive torque to the rig
floor, independent of the mast.
Canrig Portable Top Drive Systems provide flexibility of
multi-rig applications.
Minimal rig interface fast installation.
The Torque Guide is installed vertically after mast
erection; no mast erection analysis is required.
The Top Drive/Torque Guide assembly is raised into
position with the traveling block.
Services are self-contained with no mast interface:
Mud hose - standpipe extension not required
Local or Remote air cooling system
Electric and hydraulic service loops
Electric cables and junction box
The complete system including the Torque Guide, Top
Drive unit and Services collapses onto a single-skid,
container compatible load.
Self-contained electrical & hydraulic support system.

Self-contained SCR or VFD system minimal electrical
interface to the rig.
Articulated grasshopper cable and hose carrier extends
to the rig floor and collapses on to the TDSU for transport.
Power source alternatives:
Connect to the AC bus on electric rigs
Engine/generator set(s) in the Top Drive Support Unit
TDSU available in land or offshore configurations.
Fixed Top Drive Systems
Canrig Fixed Top Drive Systems are dedicated to one rig
only. They provide optimum rig mobility.
Torque guide sections are connected horizontally. The
Torque Guide is erected with the mast.
Offset Torque Guide foot transmits drilling torque without
impeding floor operations.
Top Drive transport skid built into the Torque Guide foot.
