    INSPECTION REPORT 11.06.2015

    The present Report is drawn up that the specialists of M/S. SURYANSH AUTOMATION AND TECHNOLOGY have
    carried out the inspection of engine Wartsila 1X12V32Ln. In the result of the inspection, following items were
    performed and noted:
    1. Crankshaft.
    During the visual inspection of crankshaft were found OK.
    2. Cylinder housing.
    During the inspection of cylinder housing were found in good condition
    As per standard Liner conditions found OK.
    3. Piston assembly and cylinder liners.
    During the inspection of the piston assembly parts, connecting rod axial play and cylinder liners were found in
    good condition. Also we have found honing marks on liner which indicates that engine overhauling was done
    recently.
    4. Rocker ARM
    During visual inspection rocker arm, spring, Roto-cap, yoke pin all found in good condition

    5. Engine mounted Pumps


    Engine mounted Hot water, Low temperature water and lube oil Pump found in satisfactory condition.
    6. Turning Gear
    Turning gear system working satisfactory as we used to rotate the flywheel.
    7. Governor System.
    Governor system like (Cylinder, Mechanical over speed device, linkage system..etc) found in condition.
    8. Alternator.
    Checked the alternator physical condition and found OK. Measured the Insulation resistance of winding
    And below is the result which indicates that alternator winding is in good and acceptable condition.
    U-Earth> 2000 MOHMS
    V- Earth> 2000 MOHMS
    W-Earth >2000 MOHMS.
    Note: As engine is in idle condition since long time and during inspection we have found some dust and carbon
    particles on winding so it is advisable before start up of engine the alternator windings need to be heat up atleast three to four days by using heaters or halogen lamps and then clean by air.
    9. Governor controller:
    During inspection of control panel we have found that Woodward 723 controller is missing so it is
    requested to confirm about controller before dispatching.
    Note:-- As engine was found in covered packed condition and there was no space and platform to stand on the
    engine so could not able to do the complete inspection of machine but then also we carried out the necessary
    and mandatory inspections of the engine.
