THE CROW AND THE PITCHER


A crow came flying in the garden. It was very thirsty. It was
looking for water to drink when it saw a pitcher on the garden table.
The pitcher was made of a thick metal. It looked more durable than
the other pitchers.
It was haft-filled with water.
The crow tried to get a drink from the pitcher but it could not reach
for the water. The pitcher was only half-filled. It tried to break the
pitcher with its beak but it was too thick to be broken. The crow tried to
turn it over but it was too heavy for him.
He was so disappointed when a thought came. He hurriedly pick
up a stone and dropped it inside the pitcher. The water rose a little
higher. He picked up some more stones. One by one dropped the stones
inside the pitcher.
At last! the water in the pitcher rose to the brim. The water rose
so high that the crow could easily drink as much water as it liked. So the
thirsty crow drank and drank. He took a long cool drink until his thirst
fully quenched.
