    Travel to Khasab

    MORNING :

    WADI ROAD DRIVE

    AFTERNOON :

    BOAT TRIPS

    On 12 feb 2010 We Travelled to Khasab at Oman. We were seven families with 26 people by 5 cars.

    At 6:30am We started from home for this journey.

    At 8: 00am we stopped near a Highway Patrol Stations and had some breakfast .

    At 11:00 we reached the border check post UAE border at Dahra After crossing the Border we derived about 30
    km , Then we prayed Jumma prayer an artistic Mosque at Khasba,

    At 2:30pm we started for Dhow Cruising and we spend 3 hours with this , We had out lunch in the Dhow that
    was really pleasant .After Magrib prayer we back from Khasab

    At 9:00pm We had dinner at Manar Mall (Ras al Khaima)

    At 12:00 am We Back Home 70km from Ras Al Khaima to Sharjah

    LOCATION
    Khasab is located 500 kilometers from Muscat .The Portuguese built Khasab at the beginning of the 17th
    century at the height of their naval presence in the region.

    Khasab is called ‘Norway of Arabia’ This is southern part of Gulf region .This is a peninsula named Musandam
    under Oman, Khasab is the capital of Musandam. Two large dame made to protect this place from flood. Nice
    road are made from Ras Al Khaima and number of tourist come by road from Dubai for Holiday. Summer very
    hot here , 5 star Hotels are available beside the coast.

    From October to March the temperature is between 17° - 27°C and from April to September the temperature
    averages in the 40s.

    DOLPHIN SHOW
     

    Dolphins are among the most intelligent animal , Mostly eating fish and squid, They very in size form
    1.2m and 40kg , They are social and helpful, They are light eye and can hear 14 times more then
    human American army used dolphin in the war of Vietnam. They can show nice play.

    TRADE AND CULTURE


     

    In the beginning of the 17 century Portuguese built this place as a supply point where ship sailing
    th

    collect date and water when pass the strait. The inhabitants depend on fishing , agriculture and ship
    building, Rainfall water used for agriculture. 90% gulf’s oil ship crossing point through the strait of
    Harmuz. We found some fort in this place too. The people of Oman are simple , They worn Kandura
    and artistic traditional cap.

    DHOW CRUISE
     

    Al mahamel as known as a boat. The three main boat structures that are still crafted today . Which is
    an 18 to 22 foot long surfboat, the Amia ( asurboat of upto 30 feet ) and the dhow ( generally 50 to 80
    feet ), Each boat is hand built by a master craftsman and his team using simple tools and the age old
    techniques that have down through the generation.

    TRAVEL FASCINATED
     

    We took a mahamel by highly bargaining from 1500 Dhs. to get 600 Dhs. This just getting income
    from tourists. So on we enjoy Dhow cruise for 3 hours very interesting, We saw mountains on sea and
    on the mountain fisherman’s house and fantastic Dolphin show . Travel fascinated and exclaimed
