Traffic Relief
We are proposing a new walking route for students who use the path between the Deer Ridge development and
American Avenue. We ask those students to use the crosswalk at the very end of American Avenue by the baseball
field to cross the street. Using this crosswalk will not impede traffic flow and will both increase student safety and
provide some much needed traffic relief at the top of the hill before and after school.
Working Lunch Program
If you are a student who does not regularly complete classwork or homework, our Student Study Team may be
assigning a working lunch for you. Starting Monday, January 11, we will hold a daily working lunch for assigned
students, where they will eat lunch and finish class assignments at the same time. When these students demonstrate
they no longer need this added layer of support, we will exit them from the program.
Weekly Tardy Sweeps
Being on-time is an important life skill in todays world and we want to impress that upon our students. We will be
holding weekly tardy sweeps this semester. Students caught up in a tardy sweep will be assigned a detention.
