9 1/2" OnTrak II

Directional Sensor
Vibration, Stick-Slip

35.1 ft
(10.7 m)

For reservoir navigation applications, the OnTrak MPR sensors provide

eight multi-depth resistivity measurements enabling optimum well
placement. Two gamma ray detectors mounted on opposite sides of the
tool provide an indication of approaching bed boundaries and can be used
to provide an image of the wellbore. The annular pressure reading enables
fast reaction to wellbore stability issues and monitoring of the dynamics
behavior of the BHA (with stick-slip and vibrations) allows the
optimization of drilling parameters and improvements in reliability.
Service Benefits
Real time Reservoir Navigation and accurate well placement
Geological confirmation of bed boundaries with azimuthal gamma
ray
Fast two-way communication between surface and downhole saves
time
Optimum directional control due to sensors closer to the bit
Fewer well control issues and improved reliability
Fully modular system allows the complete integration of high end
LWD services (SoundTrak, LithoTrak, CoPilot, TesTrak)

Excellent log quality when used with AutoTrak G3.0 applications at

high ROP
High frequency phase resistivity measurements for superior vertical
resolution and improved definition of thin beds and fluid contacts
Low frequency attenuation resistivity measurements for increased
depth of investigation gives better estimates of Rt with a greater
immunity to environmental effects

INTEQ developed the 9 1/2" OnTrak II to be a fully integrated

MWD/LWD tool, providing real time Directional, Gamma, MPR
resistivity, downhole pressure and vibration measurements from a single
sub. The OnTrak tool has been uniquely designed to take into account all
the challenges present in the most demanding rotary steerable
applications. The OnTrak sensor sub works in conjunction with the
AdvantageSM surface system to deliver optimal directional control, precise
formation evaluation and data to enable reservoir navigation whilst
drilling. This innovative design delivers increased reliability, reduces the
number of connections and offers optimized sensor-to-bit distance in a
compact BHA (bottom hole assembly). The tool combines an integrated
sensor sub with a power and communications module supplying the
following capabilities:
