Dear Printing/Typesetting/Advertising/Mailing Buyer:
We, at Thrifty Prints/Type want to help you run your
business/department by supplying you with top quality printing
and typesetting, quickly and inexpensively. We try to purchase
supplies that have been produced here in the United States. We
also offer advertising and direct mail. Among the ways we can
help you are:
LOW COST — We watch out for ways to reduce our costs, so we
can pass on lower prices to you. Our printing prices include
shipping by ground FedEx to the 48 continental states. Smaller
quantities may be shipped by Parcel Post. We now offer Parcel
Post Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico (add 40%). For
parcel post shipping to the 48 continental states add $7.00 for
orders up to $40.00, over $40.00 add 10%. Our typesetting
prices include sending proofs and original by first class mail
or e-mail. Also, first time corrections and changes are
included in typesetting price.
FAST SERVICE — Most camera ready printing orders are shipped
within 7 working days of our receiving it. On most typesetting
orders a proof is sent out within 9 working days of our
receiving it.
EASY ORDERING — Order by mail using the convenient order forms
enclosed. Payment can be made by Personal/Business Check or
Money Order. Sorry we do not accept Credit Cards through the
mails. However; if you have an email, we can accept MasterCard
and Visa through PayPal.com. We will e-mail you an invoice
through PayPal's website, when we receive your order.
EXTRA COST SAVINGS — To even lower your printing expenses we
offer Co-op Printing. That is your Camera Ready Copy on one
side, one or more (depending on quantity ordered) of our
pricelist on the other side. Our typesetting prices have a
built in reduction price on additional sides for circular and
additional inches on display ads. To help you keep your
mailing cost down check out our Advertising Services and Print
& Parcel Distribution (your flyers go into our customer's
outgoing orders), both on page 12.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS — We print on acid free papers, most
are 30% post consumer recycled. We also recycle, whenever
possible, the waste created in our day-to-day operations.

Image Requirements:
For best reproduction camera ready should be dark black or red print on a white or light colored
background. Our equipment allows us a great deal of latitude. However, we are not responsible for the
submission of improper camera ready copy.
For sizes up to 81/2 x 14, we need a 1/4" margin; For 11x17 we need a 1/2" margin around image area.
For the best results for two 81/2 x 11’s printed on 11x17 there should be an inch inner margin. If your
job requires cutting, we need 1/2" between image areas (example: post cards).

What is Considered Camera Ready Copy?
When we use the term camera ready copy for offset printing we are talking
about copy that is ready to go on a plate for printing. The copy is exactly as it should
be without making any adjustments. See Image Requirements on Page 3.
CAMERA READY COPY FILING:
$5.00 per Year — Due to our limited filing space, we have to charge a fee
to keep customers hard (paper) camera readies on file. However; there is
no charge on typesetting or copy we have put on computer disk.

recognition to make sure we have all of your words typed in. Then we run grammar and
spelling checks to flag any grammar or spelling mistakes. After layout design, we proofread
one more time, to make sure that your camera ready will give the best impression.
Except for Galley Text our typesetting prices, include: Borders, Artwork (yours or ours),
Layout and Design. Fancy type like Reverses, Shadow or Outline are also free.
For you Thrifty minded people we keep most typesetting jobs on disks at no charge to

When we use the term rough copy for typesetting, we are talking about copy that we can easily
read. We prefer typewritten copy, over handwritten copy. If your copy is typewritten, you may
