nterested in pursuing five-year integrated law programmes in India? There are a number of law
schools besides National Law Universities (NLUs)
which offer undergraduate law programmes including BA LLB and BBA LLB.
Symbiosis International University (SIU) is one such
institute that offers five-year integrated law programmes
in its three law colleges including SLS Pune, SLS
Noida and SLS Hyderabad. The University conducts
Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for admissions to these
law programmes.

SET LAW AN INTRODUCTION
ymbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for Law conducted by Symbiosis International University
(SIU) is one of the important entrance exams
for admissions to five-year integrated law programmes.
SIU announces fresh admission notifications in the
month of February of the admission year as the applications begin from the same month.
The undergraduate law entrance exam of Symbiosis

University is conducted in as many as 20 cities of India
in an offline mode. The question paper comprises of
objective-type questions (MCQs) from various sections and the syllabus includes general topics studied
till 12th standard.
Admissions to 700+ seats in the UG law programmes
are offered based on merit and ranks secured by candidates as per their performance in SET Law.
SET LAW ELIGIBILITY

Academic Qualification
The interested candidates need to have passed XII
(10+2) examination from any recognized Educational
Board with any of the subjects. Moreover, you need to
have secured at least 45% of the total marks in aggregate of the qualifying subjects. Those who belong to
the reserved categories (SC/ST) are offered a relaxation
of 5% in marks. i.e., need to secure at least 40% in
aggregate of the qualifying subjects.
i.e., should have attained a maximum age of 22 years

as on the same date.
Who else are eligible for SET Law?

If you are appearing in the 12th Board Exam, you will
be deemed eligible and will be allowed to apply and
appear for SET Law, subjected to fulfillment of the
minimum qualifying marks and age bar at the time of
admissions.

Who are non-eligible for SET Law?
The candidates should have attained at the most 22

years of age as on date of entrance examination. Those
who belong to the reserved categories (SC/ST) are
offered a relaxation of 2 years in the upper age limit,
If qualified or are appearing in the 12th Board Exam

through Correspondence/Distance-Learning/Open
Universities mode, you are non-eligible to apply for
SET Law.
SET LAW APPLICATION PROCESS

application form for the law entrance exam in
online mode from second week of February.
How can I fill application form?

You need to follow the steps as mentioned below, during applying for SET Law
l Click on the official link of Application Form
l Click on New Users Registrations button and
afterwards I Agree button to accept the Terms and
Conditions
l Fill in the required fields of the registration page and
click on Save and Continue button
l As you have registered successfully, youll receive
a confirmation mail at the registered e-mail id
comprising SET Id And Password, which you need
to use for logging in for filling application
l Click on Click here to Continue link that youll get in
the mail and proceed for the next step of remittance
fees
l Once you have remitted the fees, proceed to the
next steps of SET Law Application
l Enter the required details of the application form
including Personal Details, Address, Academic
Qualifications, Contact Details besides uploading
photographs and choosing the exam centre for SET
Law
l Click on Submit button after finally reviewing your
filled-in applications
If remitting the fees in Demand Draft mode, you

need to draw a crossed DD from any nationalized
bank in favour of Symbiosis Test Secretariat payable at Pune. Next youll also need to send the
single copy of Payment Advice for Demand Draft
along with the DD to the below mentioned address

Application Form Submission

The Application Form of SET Law can be submitted in
online mode only.
Remittance of Application Fees

You need to remit an application fee of Rs. 1500 in any
of the modes Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/
Demand Draft.
SET LAW EXAM PATTERN

Exam Mode Offline/Written/Paper-Pen Mode
Exam Duration 2 Hours and 30 Minutes
Number of Questions 150
Total Marks 150
Marking Scheme Each correct answer shall be
awarded 1 mark and no marks will be deducted for any
incorrect response. Moreover, each question needs to
be responded with one single option that you deem
to be correct. In case of responding any question with
more than one option will be considered incorrect
and no marks will be awarded even though one of the
options happens to be correct.
Subjects The multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
shall be divided into five sections Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading
Comprehension and General Knowledge.
Subject-wise distribution of Questions Each
section shall have a maximum of 30 questions of
objective nature (MCQ).
SET LAW TIMELINE
IU issues notification for the law entrance exam

in the month of February as the application
begins in the same month and can be filled till
second week of April.
The University shall be issuing admit cards

between second and third week of April in online
mode which can be downloaded by entering SET
Id and Password, as the exam in offline mode
shall be conducted in the first week of May.
The results of SET Law shall be announced in the
third week of May as counselling will be held in the
first week of June for admissions to five-year integrated
law programmes including BA LLB and BBA LLB.
