questions before you call the teacher over. Ask questions like: Is
everyone ready to explain our question? Do we need anything
else?
If you are in a group of three then one person or multiple members can elect to perform
someone elses role. Example: Team captain acts as the facilitator as well.
Supplies:
Team Basket, tooth picks, and marshmallows.
Note: you will not be given additional marshmallows or toothpicks, so keep this in mind when
you are building
The Task:
Your groups challenge is to build the tallest free-standing tower that you can.
Make certain that each person records any team strategies or planning that you do.
You will have twelve minutes to work on this challenge.

Team Basket, Paper, and pencils. When ready for the Final Product, call your teacher
over for supplies.
The Task:
Can your team find every number from 1 to 20 using only 4 4s and any
mathematical operation?

Record all of your work and any team members ideas that are different from
yours.
Final Product
A stand alone report needs to demonstrate accurately and in detail:
At least one solution using 4 4s for the number chosen by the teacher
Explain why your solution works (can be done with symbols or sentences)
How you were able to come up with it
Any other alternative solutions for the same number
