Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE
This act may be cited as the Mandatory Child Vaccination Act of 2017.
SECTION 2. FINDINGS
Congress hereby finds and declares that,
1) Diseases such as measles, mumps, and whooping cough are still a threat today.
2) If children arent vaccinated, they can spread disease to other children who are too young to be vaccinated or to
people with weakened immune systems, such as transplant recipients and people with cancer.
3) Up to 1 in 1,000 children and 1 in 75 adults who caught the infection were paralysed
4) All routinely recommended pediatric vaccines manufactured for the U.S. market are available in formulations that
contain no thimerosal or only trace amounts.
5) Vaccines contain ingredients, called antigens, which cause the body to develop immunity.
6) Before a vaccine is approved by the FDA for use by the public, results of studies on safety and effectiveness of the
vaccine are evaluated by highly trained FDA scientists and doctors.
7) Though coined almost a century ago, the term herd immunity was not widely used until recent decades, its use
stimulated by the increasing use of vaccines, discussions of disease eradication, and analyses of the costs and benefits
of vaccination programs.
8) The principle of community immunity applies to control of a variety of contagious diseases, including influenza,
measles, mumps, rotavirus, and pneumococcal disease.
9) Even those who are not eligible for certain vaccines, such as infants, pregnant women, or immunocompromised
individuals.
10)By 2002, Vaccination Had Almost Eliminated it There Were Just Two Deaths from Diphtheria between 1986
and 2002.
11) According to government statistics, children under the age of 14 are three times more likely to suffer adverse
effects -- including death -- following the hepatitis B vaccine than to catch the disease itself.
12) Some diseases that once injured or killed thousands of children, have been eliminated completely and others are close
to extinction primarily due to safe and effective vaccines.
13) Vaccines will involve some discomfort and may cause pain, redness, or tenderness at the site of injection but this is
minimal compared to the pain, discomfort, and trauma of the diseases these vaccines prevent.
14) . While some babies are too young to be protected by vaccination, others may not be able to receive certain
vaccinations due to severe allergies, weakened immune systems from conditions like leukemia, or other reasons.
15) Some vaccine-preventable diseases can result in prolonged disabilities and can take a financial toll because of
lost time at work, medical bills or long-term disability care.
SECTION 3. STATUTORY LANGUAGE
A) The mandatory Vaccination Act of 2017 shall require school aged children who are not up-to-date on every
mandated vaccine, will be required to homeschool without the classroom learning option. This bill does not give
parents the right to exempt their children from one, some, or all vaccines. Parents of children in the United States of
America will be forced to give there children 10 federally mandated vaccines. There will be no religious exemptions
for getting these vaccines.
B)This law should be enforced and upheld by the Department of Health and all the branches of the United States of
America. There is no funding needed for this bill.
C) Any parent of an under aged child that is found breaking this law will be forced to leave any public or private
school. This bill shall go into effect January 1, 2017.

With diseases that put your life at risk everyday one may ask why would you not get a vaccine. Vaccines save millions
of lives each year from life threatening disease like measles, mumps, and whooping cough. Those are only a handful of
the dangerous illnesses out there, that could jeopardize your life. Along with saving your own life, vaccines also help
stop the spread of diseases, protecting your community, this is also known as protecting the herd. Child vaccinations
should be made mandatory in the United States because they protect yourself, others around you, and they are safe to
give to the public. Protecting yourself from disease can't only just help you when you are in the United States. If you are
traveling to a foreign country, you will expose yourself to many different diseases. Without protecting yourself and not
getting your vaccines you are at a very high risk of getting a foreign disease. Potentially putting your life at stake. The
first vaccine was discovered by Edward Jenner in 1796, who created the smallpox vaccinations. Not until the end of the
19th century, several vaccines for humans had been developed. They were smallpox, rabies, plague, cholera, and typhoid
vaccines. However, no regulation of vaccine production existed. These vaccines were seen as a technological
breakthrough in the medical field. But, these vaccines were optional to get at the time, which still made disease still
move at a rapid pace. Making vaccinations mandatory and not optional would make disease stop spreading, and saving
people's lives. Along with saving your own life, by you getting a vaccines your are also saving other people's lives
around you. This is a term also known as community immunity. Even those who are not eligible for certain
vaccinessuch as infants, pregnant women, or immunocompromised individualsget some protection because the
spread of contagious disease is contained. This is known as "community immunity. This is suggesting that since the
people around you aren't getting diseases, and are protected from getting them, you are helping people who can't get
vaccinations for various reasons, stay healthy. Community immunity provides the nation, states, and cities from having
an outbreak of a deadly disease. Researchers thought of the term community immunity was first brought to the public's
eyes in 1923. Though coined almost a century ago, the term herd immunity was not widely used until recent decades,
its use stimulated by the increasing use of vaccines, discussions of disease eradication, and analyses of the costs and
benefits of vaccination programs. Community immunity serves as a big role in our society, by blocking the killer
diseases out of our communities. Many people think that vaccines are not safe, and don't actually protect you from
diseases like measles, mumps, the flu, or whooping cough. But it is statistically proven that getting vaccines reduces
disease rates. The American Academy of Pediatrics states that "most childhood vaccines are 90%-99% effective in
preventing disease. This statistic shows that when you are a child and you have to get your vaccines, they are shown to
be very effective. It is very important for children of small ages to get them to because they don't have the build up
immunity that adults do to fight of monstrous diseases. Given that vaccines are very effective, they are also safe to be
given out. Vaccines contain ingredients, called antigens, which cause the body to develop immunity. Vaccines also
contain very small amounts of other ingredients--all of which play necessary roles either in making the vaccine, or in
ensuring that the vaccine is safe and effective (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). Antigens help stop the risk
of a potential life threatening disease. Antigens are proteins that are found on the surface of the pathogen, making it so
no disease can get through it. Vaccines provide a safe and effective way to protect millions from diseases that we are
introduced to. Making vaccines mandatory is essential to making our society function without harmful, life threatening
diseases in them. If everyone gets their vaccinations nobody would be put at risk of losing their life. Getting a vaccine
can prevent you from getting a disease, and it can also help others around you. Vaccinations are also safe, proven by the
U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
