    Some ways to add emphasis to your speech

    Emphatic Do= This resume looks good.


    Emphatic reflexive pronouns=
    studies

    /This resume does look good.

    I paid for my studies. / I myself paid for my

    Emphatic own= He has a business ./ He has his very own business.


    Object-Subject verb order= I like this but I dont like that. / This I I like, that I
    dont.
    Predicate adjectival/nominal subject-copula word order
    He was ambitious / Ambitious he was.
    Negative Fronting
    I had never experienced something like that.
    Never had I experienced something like that.
    Extent/degree/ comparison fronting
    The job was so difficult that everyone had trouble doing it.
    So difficult was the job that everyone had trouble doing it.
    That task was even more difficult.
    Even more difficult was that task.
    Present Participle fronting
    The boss was sitting in his desk
    Sitting in his desk was the boss.
    Past participle Fronting
    The employees were paid well.
    Paid well were the employees.
    Fronting with or without Subject-Verb Invesion
    Bill ran into the office.
    Into the office Bill ran.
    Into the office ran bill.
    The two most important function constructions in English are passive voice and
    nonreferential there. Two other important focus constructions are it-clefts and whclefts.

    It-clefts/wh-clefts
    John wants a raise.
    It's a raise that John wants.
    What John wants is a raise.
    Nonreferential there=
    THERE is a leader we all need.
    There once was a house on the top of the hill..
