Thecitysitsatopalargesteeplywoodedhillsurroundonallsidesbyaflowingstream,namedCorellonsTears.
ThelargestbuildinginthecityisthegreattempletoCorellonwithitsgreatgoldendomesetatopatempleofpearl
whitealabasterandmarble.ThecitysoldesttempleisthatdedicatedtoLabelas,theTempleBeyondTime.
MhnlamniirsitsonStarsongHill,theancestralhomeoftheStarsongClanwhodedicatedtheirholdingstothe
buildingoftheTempleCity,backatthefoundingofEaerlann.ThehillitselfisagiantFeyMound,blessedbythe
SeldarineandshotthroughwiththeinterredremainsofcountlessgenerationsofStarsongsandclergyofthe
Seldarine.ThecityproperissurroundedbyanancientyetsubtleHighMagicMythalthataffectscreatureswho
approachthecityindifferentways.Themythalextends500metersfromtheouteredgeofthestreaminagreat
ringthatextendsinalldirections.

TheMythalsMajorPowerisitsbiggestsecret,knownonlytothehighpriestsfromeachtemple.Itcanonlybe
invokedbyall9priestsinconcert,orbydefaultifall9priestsareincapacitated,dieorleavethecity.Thenthe
TempleMount(StarsongHill),anditssurvivinginhabitantsareshovedoutofphaseandintostasis,leavingbehind

TheDomeoftheCorellon'sGraceisvisitedbytheFairFolkofEvermeetforsolemnceremonies,privateworship,or
simpleprivatemeditation.ThetreesthatsurroundTheDomeoftheCorellon'sGracemagicallyweavetheir
branchestogether,preventingentrancetothetemple.Treantssometimesjointheguardiantreesinwatching
overtheshrine,asdothecountlesssylvancreatureswhoroamtheGreenIsle.Wroughtirongatesentwinedwith
ivyandbloomingrosesyearroundpermitpassageonlytoTel'QuessirwhoapproachwishingtoworshipCorellon
andtheSeldarine.

Fromtheoutside,thesouthernfacadeofthisgrandTempleisshodingoldanditsgracefulspirestower
overthesurroundingtrees.Thehigharchedroofofthetempleiscoveredinjewelsthatglitterlikestarsinthe
moonlight.ThewhitemarblestairsleadinguptothegatesareflankedbygiantmarblestatuesofCorellon.Allthe
floorsarecoveredindelicatemosaicsofscenesoftheSeldarineandArvandor.Thesupportpillarsthatlinethe
centralaisleleadingtothealtararecarvedwithvinescrollwork,theleavesmadeofbrilliantgreenjade.Gleaming
whitemarblewalkwaysflankedbytallcolumnsadornedwithivyandroses,liketheentrancegates,leadthrough
theheartofthetempleandconnectthenumerousshrinesfoundwithin.Magicalfountainsarescattered
throughoutthetemple,andtheirenchantedwatersaresaidtoconferoneormoreeffectssimilartothoseof
potionsofhealing,elixirsofhealth,potionsofheroism,potionsofinvulnerability,potionsofextrahealing,and
potionsofvitality.

WithinDomeoftheCorellon'sGracemaybefoundshrinestoAerdrieFaenya,HanaliCelanil,LabelasEnoreth,
RillifaneRallathil,SehanineMoonbow,andeventhekingandqueenoffaerie,OberonandTitania.Eachshrine
containsawhitemarblestatuedepictingoneoftheSeldarineorfaeriemonarchs,andelveswhopraybeforethem
aresaidtosometimesreceivemagicalblessingsfromthepowersodepicted.TheAr'Tel'Quessirwhoconstructed
Corellon'sGrovechosealsotoincludeshrinestotheroguepowersoftheSeldarineincludingErevanIlesere,
FenmarelMestarine,Shevarash,SolonorThelandiraandtoaspectsoftheSeldarineworshipedbytheother
subracessuchasAngharradh,Bear,Eagle,Raven,andWolf.Allsuchpowersandaspectsofpowersarevenerated
inDomeoftheCorellon'sGracebytheFairFolk.Corellon'sshrineisthelargestbyfarfoundwithinthetemple,a
greatdomeofgreenmarblesitsabovetheFirstoftheSeldarineandCreatoroftheElves.Corellonisportrayedasa
tall,unnaturallythin,androgynouselvenfigurewithathinface,highcheekbones,andnarrow,slantedeyes.The
figureiscladinscalearmorandcarriesalong,slimsword.AdelicatecoronetgracesthebrowoftheCoronalof
Arvandor,andasenseofpeaceandcontentmentradiatesfromthestatueitself.AnyoftheFairFolkwhoprayhere
mayreceiveaspecialblessingfromCorellon,althoughatmostonesuchfavorisgrantedperyear.Corellonmay
manifestasdiscussedabove,orhemaygranttheabilitytocastcurelightwoundsorcureseriouswoundsonceat
somefuturetime.SomeelvesreportafterprayingattheshrinethattheProtectorgiftedthemwithanitemof

Thecity'soldesttemplehasalwaysbeentheTempleBeyondTime,asoaringtowershapedlikeanelongated
hourglassconsecratedinthenameoftheLifegiver.LabelasanreligioustextssuggestthattheTempleBeyondTime
existedasfarbackastheearlydaysofAryvandaar,nearly25millenniaago.TheTempleBeyondTime
isamonumentunbowedbythepassageoftimeconstructedfromweatheredstonecarvedfromtheslopesof
StarsongHill.Thecentralchapelofthetempleisdominatedbyamassivegoldensundialinlaidinthefloor,and
windowsareplacedsoastoallowthedirectraysofthesettingsuntobathethemassivetimepieceincolorful
hues.ThetemplehousesalibraryhousingsomeofthegreatestcollectionsofelvenloreassembledintheRealms.

TheTempleBeyondTimecanbeseenorenteredforafewmomentsatwidelyvaryingintervals.Theonly
permanentinhabitantsoftheTempleBeyondTimeareatrioofSiluvanedennbaelnorn,knowncollectivelyasthe
Timespinners:SusklahavaOrbryn,RoanmaraNeirdre,andPhantyniEvanara.Inlife,eachoftheTimespinnerswas
agoldelvenpriestessofLabelas,andtheyhaveservedtheLifegiverformillenniaashistorians,sages,andoracles.
ThefaithfuloftheLifegiverinterpretthegod'somensastowhentheTempleBeyondTimecanbereachedand
thentraveltothesiteinordertoconsultwiththeeternalseerswhodwellwithin.Thosepetitionerswhoenterthe

SilverelfpriestssometimescomeheretocommuneandreceivemessagesfromtheSeldarine.

Rillifane'stempleissetinahugeoaktreewithplatformsbuiltamongthebranchesandvinebridgesconnecting
themtoeachotherandplatformsinadjoiningtrees.ShrinesoftheLeaflord,alwaysagrandoaktreedeepwithin
thedepthsofaforestbuttoosmalltoserveasatempleoftheLeaflord,arechosenbymembersofRillifane's
clergyafterreceivingadreamorvisiondirectingthemtoparticulartree.Suchshrinesaremarkedbythepriest
withacarvingofasmallcanaryinthetrunkabout2feetfromtheground.

TheTimelessOakisthenameofbothagargantuanoaktreeover200feettallandthetempleoftheLeaflord
nestledamidsttheforestgiant'sboughs.Thetempleconsistsofanetworkofplatformssculptedfromthetree's
branchesandhollowscultivatedinthegreatoak'strunk,allofwhicharelinkedbybridgesofwovenvines.
Hallucinatoryterrainspellsandthethickleafcoveragemaskthereligiouscommunity'sveryexistencefromthe
outsideworld.

TheTowersoftheMoon

Sehanine'stempleisasoaringmonumentopenonlytoelvesandafewpioushalfelves.Thetempleisconstructed
ofwhitemarbleandshapedsoastosuggestimminentflight.Symmetryandcirclesarehighlyprizedbythefaith,
reflectedinthearchitectureofSehanine'shouseofworship.Thecentralchapelisperfectlycircularandcanbe

openedtothenightskybymeansofaretractabledome.Greatgardensandhedgerowmazesencirclethemain
structure,theirformationsimitatingthepathsoftheheavenlybodiesinthenightskyabove.

TowersoftheMoon

Sehanine'spriestsaretheseersandmysticsofelvensociety.Theyserveasthespiritualcounselorstoelvesand
halfelveswhoseektoembarkonjourneysinsearchofenlightenmentsoastotranscendtheircurrentstateof
being.Asshepherdsandprotectorsofthedead,Sehanine'spriestsorganizeandadministerfuneralritesandguard
theremainsofthefallen.Theyseekoutanddestroyundeadcreatures,forSehanineholdssuchcreatureswiththe
notableexceptionsofbaelnornandothergoodalignedundeadbeingswhovoluntarilyprolongtheirexistencein
ordertoservetheirkintobeblasphemous.Asdefendersofelvenhomelands,Sehanine'sclergyareresponsiblefor
weavingandmaintainingtheillusionsthatguardthosesanctuariesthatremainandfordiviningpotentialthreats
totheircontinuedexistence.Theprimetaskofadventuringpriestsistheretrievaloflostarcaneandmagical

thetalesoftheFairFolkaretobelieved,oneofthegreatestcollectionofrelicsfromtheancient
elvenrealmsofSharrven,Eaerlann,Orishaar,MiyeritarandThearnytaarishiddenhereaswell,assembledasthose
realmscrumbledduringthetimesoftheCrownwars,beforethearmiesofIlythiir.TheShrineisprotectedatall
timesby3WatchnornWarrior10/Priest16/Thief12sofErevan.KnownastheTriuneGuardians,theyprevent
thievesfromstealingitemsofvalueusingtricksandtrapstoprotecttheircharges.Thecavesthemselvesare
hiddenbyHallucinatoryTerrain,Antipathyspells,anddeadlyspellwards.

PriestsofErevanworkwithElvishMinstrels&Bardsinthecitybelievethatchangeandexcitementarethespiceof
life.Theyexhortthestaidandstodgyprieststoliveontheedge,unboundbytheconventionsofsocietyinaspirit

Mount,becomingknownasCorellonsTears,TheCreatorissaidtohavemanifestedhereandweptoverthe
beautyofHanaliasshedancedintheSacredFalls.LadyGoldheart'shouseofworshipisdesignedwithyoung
loversinmind,providingendlessmazesofshadypaths,babblingbrooks,quietpools,leafybowers,andflowering

hedgerows,soastofacilitateamoroustrystsandromanticrendezvous.Theinteriorchambersofthetempleare
designedsoastopermittheentranceofthesun,moon,andgentlebreezes.Severalalcovesdisplaybeautiful

HuntersHeartsitsinacultivatedgroveoftreescarefullytendedfromseedlingstoformtwoormoreconcentric
ringsofforestgiants.Eachtreehasbeengrownsoastoformoneormorenaturalhollowswithinitstrunkat
variouselevations,andvineropebridgesarethreadedthrougheachtightlypackedgrovetoconnectthechambers
intheheartofeachtree.Atgroundlevel,roots,rocks,earth,plantsarewovenintonearimpregnabledefensive
fortificationstoensurethesanctityofthetempleperimeter.Earthenchambersarehewnfromthedirtbeneath
thegrove,nestledamongthetightlywovenrootstructures.

Inthesurroundingwoods,treesarecarefullyplantedsoastocreatenarrow,spokelikepathsradiatingoutward
fromthecentralgrove.Althoughnotimmediatelyobvioustocasualobservation,theplantgrowthalongthese
pathsiscultivatedsoastoimpedemovementbutpermittheflightofarrows,thusformingnaturalshooting
galleriesinwhichinvadersareeasilytargeted.HuntersHeartcontainbothceremonialchambersadornedwith
huntingtrophiesandhollowswithmorepracticalapplicationssuchascraftingandrepairingbowsandarrows,the
curingofvenisonandothermeats,thetanningofhides,andthecarvingofbonestoformtoolsandfigurines.

tunnelsoftheFeyMound.TheBlackArcher'stwostory,fortresstempleisconstructedofredstoneandserves
firstandforemostasnighimpregnablefortsblockingaccesstothetunnels,cryptsandtombsbeneaththecity,
thatcanbeheldbyahandfulofdefenders.TheFortressisdesignedtowithstandlongtermsiegesandincludesa
wellstockedarmory,storerooms,andcisternsoffreshwater.ThewallsofShevarash'sFortressareadornedwith
trophiesseizedfromfallendrow.Shevarash'sfollowerssometimesconstructshrinestotheirgodintheUnderdark,
butsuchmonumentsaremakeshiftatbest,quicklybuiltincavesthatserveasatemporarybaseofoperations.
Fallenwarriorsofthecultarebroughtbacktothesurfacetobeinterredinthecatacombsbeneaththetemple
fortressor,ifabsolutelynecessary,buriedinunmarkedcairnsintheUnderdarksoastohidethemfromthedrow.

InaquietgladeoutsideofthecityproperistheninthSeldarinetemple,aFeyMounddedicatedtheDarkMaiden
Eilistraee.CorellonsdaughterandherfollowersenjoysarareplaceofpeacewithintheprecinctsofMhillamniir.
ThoughoutsideofthecitythemoundstillenjoysthebenefitsoftheMythalsprotectionsduetoaburiedMythal
leash,thatconnectsthisdistantplacethroughamilelongastralconnection.


EilistraeesMound

BeforetheelvenCrownWars,Eilistraee'sfaithwasstronginMiyeritar,andshehadsmallnumbersoffaithfulin
Ilythiirandtheotherelvenrealmsofthetime.TheDarkDisaster,unleashedduringtheThirdCrownWar,
transformedMiyeritarintotheblastedwastelandnowknownastheHighMooranddealtadevastatingblowto
theranksoftheDarkMaiden'sfollowers.Afewancient,sacredsitesofpowerbuiltbeforetheCrownWarssurvive
intheMistyForest,alongthebordersoftheHighMoor,andintheShard,scatteredacrosstheonceverdant
savannah.EilistraeesMoundisoneofthoseplaces.

TheMoundoftheDarkMaidenwasestablishedabovedarkcavernsandinthedimforestattheouteredgeof
Mhillamniirfromwhichherpriestsventureforthatnighttobravethemoonlight.Eilistraee'sMoundhas
developedinamannersimilartothoseofthesurfaceelvesdedicatedtotheSeldarine.TheDarkMaiden'sclergy
soughtoutapristine,naturalsitethatneedlittlemodification,theyfoundthisfeymoundanddedicatedittothe
darkMaidenwithCorellonsblessing.Templecomplexincludesthedancinggladeinwhichtodanceandfrom
whichtheviewofthemoonisunobstructed,adarkplaceremovedfromthelightofday,athicktreecanopy,a
livelyfreshwaterstreamthatplayfullydancesandsings,aforgeandsmithyforGraftingswords,andanaccess

suchasMythDrannorhad,thatpowerwasquietlyhoardedbyelitistsandparanoidmagesratherthansharedby
allcitizenstomakeAscalhornstrong.Alsoduringthistime,AscalhornandSilverymoongrewcloseasfellow
centersoflearningthelargelyundevelopedSavageFrontier.TheFallofMythDrannorandtheinfluxofelvesand
otherwizardsinandcitizensfromthatrealmtowardAscalhornsawchangesinthetown.Manyacceptedthe

Wulgreth,alesserAscalhiwizard,summonedbaatezuintothetowninsecrettogranthimthepowertoovercome
hissocialandmagicalrivals.Despitehispowerandprecautions,thebaatezuhesummonedwereneverfully
controlled,andthustheyinsinuatedthemselvesintothepowerplaysofmanywizards,steeringthemcovertlywith
hiddenplotswithinthewizards.overtpowergames.Whilethefactthatbaatezuwerepresentinthetownwas
keptquiet,manyfolkbegantofeelillateasedueeithertotheunconsciousinfluencesofthebaatezuorthe
growingproblemsamongthewarringwizards,whosesocialbattlesfloodedthestreetswithmagicatleasttwicea
tenday.FolkuninvolvedinthesefeudsorpowergroupsbeganmigratingoutofAscalhorn,leavingbehindonlythe
powermad.Afterafewdecadesofservitude,afewbaatezuconvincedtheirmasterstoacceptlichdomasapath
topower.Oncetheirmastersbecameundead,thebaatezuslowlybegantakingcontrolofthetownthroughtheir
formercontrollers.Withinafewshortdecades,baatezudominatedAscalhornopenly,andfewpeoplewere
