Installation procedure for Ansys

1. Copy MAGNITUDE folder and paste in your


desktop;
2. Make sure that there are NOT any other Ansys
license in your computer. If there are, open
windows on safe mode and delete them;
3. Install Dtools lite(setup included) and mount disk
image 1 on your virtual CD/dvd drive. Install
license manager setupLM.exe run as
administrator. Finish the installation without the
license file;
4. Open MAGNITUDE folder and run the exe file
AP14_Calc .exe(Type y when asked); and it will
modify the existing license file for your computer
named as license.txt.
5. Copy the license file to C:\Program
Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\.
6. Run license manager server ANSLIC_ADMIN
utility from start menu (run as administrator)
and choose Run the License Wizard;
7. Choose Run the ANSYS Licensing
interconnect with FLEXlm (default);
8. Find the license file on C:\Program
Files\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing and
click continue;
9. Click Continue over and over (three or four
times) and finish the installation and restart your
computer;

Make sure that you are not connected


on internet. So that the connection between the
license manger on this computer cannot be
connected to the host licensing facility at ANSYS
incorporation for the verification purposes.
10. Now mount m-a1464a.iso for the win32
system or an_140w64a.iso for the win64 system
in DISK1 and run as administrator the
executable file Setup.exe.
11. Choose the relevant (standard or select all or
customize as per your requirement) ANSYS
products you want to install, and continue;
12. Skip the following option (for the linking of
various drawing/modeling softwares like CATIA or
PRO-E) and click continue.
13. Mount the m-a1464b.iso for win32 and
an_140w64b.iso for win64 from DISK2 when the
installer asks.
14. When the installation is over, restart your
computer again.

Note: Launch every setup and Ansys licensing by


clicking on run as administrator every time.
