I have great pleasure in expressing my sincere gratitude and hearty thanks to our beloved

for consenting to be my guide. He had been a great source of encouragement and inspired me

throughout the project. I greatly thankful to him for everything he has done for me.

I express my hearty thanks to K. Prakash., Dy. Manager, Human Resources, who provided

valuable guidance throughout the project in his busy schedule.

I would like to thank all the faculties of departments of management studies and my Parents,

and my friends for their support and above all to God for his blessing upon me. A special

word of thanks to all those I have failed to acknowledge.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Training is a learning experience, in that it seeks a relatively permanent change in an


individual which will improve his (or) her ability to perform on the job. We typically say
training can change the skill, knowledge, attitude and social behavior. It means changing what
employees know, how they work, their attitude towards their work or their interaction with
their co-workers or their supervisors.
This project entitled study of effectiveness of training whirlpool of India limited,
puducherry is purposely done just to find the employee impact of training and to identified the
barriers in the training programme and to suggest the measure to make the training
programme effectively.
.The sample size selected for this study is 100. The sampling procedure framed is
simple random sampling. Descriptive research design along with exploratory research is been
used for study. Primary data was collected from the employees. Through a well structure
questionnaire Secondary data was collected from the employees past records and company
reports.

The data collected were analyzed using appropriate statistical tools like correlation,
Chi-square, co-efficient of variation. The suggestions were drawn based upon the findings.
Through the findings, it is found that the feedback is given in the training programme is
helpful for organization. Imparting the adequate knowledge about job and including the trends
in technology issues in training modules can leads further effective training.
