    Tasks and Responsibilities:

    The candidate will be required to do auto-electrical repairs,


    preventative maintenance, rewiring and fault finding on electrical
    circuits and components of automotive vehicles, machinery and equipment
    according to sound engineering practice and equipment specifications.

    Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair


    of automotive vehicles, equipment and machinery Performs inspections
    in accordance with the General Health and Safety Act regulations,
    manufacturing and Company standards Report all defects and breakdowns
    on automotive vehicles, equipment and machinery to the JHB Auto
    Electrical. Identify spares requirements and order according to
    departmental procedure

    Communicate with clients and supervisors to inform on maintenance


    activities performed and availability of equipment Assign corrective
    measures and follow up on outstanding/overdue actions Complete job
    maintenance cards and supply clients with invoices.

    Work according to the Companies Code of Practice, and report any


    observations of this not being done Ensure personal and co-workers
    adherence and compliance to Security and Companys SHE objectives
    Work overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need
    arise

    Minimum Requirements: Qualified Auto-Electrician with Trade


    Certificate at recognized/accredited institution Valid Public
    Drivers License (Code08 / EB) Previous experience in automotive
    maintenance is essential 2 years post trade test experience as an
    Auto Electrician Other
    Skills/Competencies: Sound verbal, written and interpersonal
    communication skills in English Independent, self-motivated, proactive
    thinking and have the ability to do own job planning and work within a
    demanding work environment.

    Termination of Contract:
    This party may be terminated with in 24 hours by either side, in
    writing.

    JHB Auto Electrical Code Of Conduct/Practice.

    1. You must be equipped at all times with your diagnostic tools and
    reliable transport.
    2. At all times you are to be professional and courteous.
    3. Alcohol and drugs are forbidden while on duty.
    4. You are to arrive at the client timeously. You will be fined R50 per
    hour for every hour you are late. You will be fined R500 for every time
    you do not attend a callout already agreed to by yourself, and without
    excusing yourself at least two hours before the appointed time.
    5. Your schedule must be confirmed every morning and respective evening.
    6. Your rate per hour is R250 during office hours, R300 after hours and
    R350 for Sunday and public holidays.
    7. Leave days are discretionary and must be confirmed 48 hours in
    advance.

    JHB Auto Electrical Quote and Repair Procedure.

    1. You arrive at the client and immediately begin diagnostics.


    2. Within 30 minutes you leave to your vehicle, call the office and
    elaborate on the diagnostics, the problem, and how long it will take to
    solve it.
    3. At no time do you discuss the problem or price with the client. If
    pressed for information, simply state that the office will call within
    30 minutes with a quote.
    4. The office will then call the client, close the deal and give you the
    go-ahead.
    5. You are at all times responsible for any components removed from the
    client.
    6. Receipts for any auxiliary services [e.g: key coding/reconditioning]
    or spares purchased are to be produced for any claim/payment.
    7. You are not to leave site without receiving confirmation from the
    office regarding proof of payment and that the client as been invoiced
    by the office.
