Recommendations:

We basically recommend that both the parties should resolve this conflict in
such a way that there will be no such conflict between these parties in the
near future. Both the parties should use collaborative style of negotiation so
that there will be win-win situation for both. First of all, the ministry of
health should look on the working hours of the young doctor which should
not be more than 48 hours a week. There should be incentives for the young
doctors as they work for too many hours and there should a proper step-up by
the government to increase the basic salaries of the young doctors to stop
brain drain. Moreover, there should be more hospitals in the area because
many students go abroad due of lack of hospitals. There should be a proper
check on the senior doctors because they create a lot hassle for the young
doctors as they only come to hospital for 2-3 hours. There should be regular
criteria for the house jobbers which is after 2-3 years for their service they
will be permanent. Unions should be permanently ban because they only
create problems for the doctors as well as the government. There should be
merit-based inductions of postgraduate trainees (PGTs) to ending monopoly
of doctors.
Conclusion:
To conclude this, we are of the opinion that it has been one of the worst
scenarios in Pakistan for many years. Protesting is every citizens basic
democratic right so long as the protest has a valid basis and does not create
unnecessary problems in the day to day lives of others. In-between the
conflict of young doctors association and ministry of health the only one that
lost is the poor patients who couldnt afford to go to private hospitals. Many
had died in the emergency because of not getting the first AID, & many died
on their way to hospital because of the blockage of road. The complexity of
this negotiation was very high and to make the matters worse the
international blame game on Pakistan is rising day by day on every social
media platform. In our opinion The Government of Pakistan should take
serious steps for the health of poor people and compromising attitude has to
be developed by both the parties to make this possible and to make sure that
there will be no such events in the near future. Moreover, the government
should take actions against those senior doctors who provoke young doctors
for strike.
