Rough Draft

Climate change has been an issue for a while now, but what exactly is it and how is it

affecting the environment? Climate change is a change in global or regional climate

patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and

attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the

use of fossil fuels. Researchers have currently blamed all humans for their irresponsibly

on taking care of this world but many believe it is a natural struggle. My theory about this

climate change is that we play a big part in this environment and due to all the man made

factories we cause a lot of pollution.

Although many scientists have argued that the main reason for the drastic climate

change is due to the poor care humans provide to their environment. Due to a study taken

in 2010 by Anderegg 97- 98% of climate change is affected primarily by humans. But

more than a thousand scientist from UN IPCC disagreed with the study, and stated that

climate change is a natural environment struggle that cant be predicted. The US National

Climate Assessment has stated the climate change as "a masterpiece of marketing," and

Grossly flawed," even the NCAs assertion of human-caused climate change was named

"NOT true."

Over time technology has been improving drastically, meaning more factories and

more pollution caused by humans. Not only do we cause pollution by factories but also
when we dont take care of our environment like littering in our oceans or even causing

oil spills. The climate change can be taken place due to all the irresponsible choices we

make when we dont think about the consequences.

Currently China has been suffering from a smog crisis, stated by the New York

Times China is one of the most polluted countries in the world. Scientist believe the smog

was triggered by the drastic climate change but many believe the smog was created due

to the pollution from chemicals emitted by power plants, car factories and cars. Liao

Hong, a professor at Nanjing University stated, Everyone used to think controlling smog

hinged on reducing regional pollution, but now its clear it requires a global effort.

Currently the country of china has been negatively affected by climate change due to

smog and has been arguing between each other if they should be trying to fight their air

pollution or hope that the smog will go away on its own.

Another issue that the world has noticed recent is the melting of glaciers across the

world. Currently due to the warmer climate change the Artic glaciers are melting cause

the sea levels to rise. Scientist believes that the glaciers are melting due to the change in

wind patterns. The rise in sea levels could affect those who live their coast because it

would trigger frequent flooding and cause low-lying lands to submerge completely.

In the passed presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton both

candidates failed to cover the important and solutions about climate change, only five

minutes were spent talking about this issue and most of the time was spent on Clinton. In

the debate taken last year 2016 between Trump and Clinton no questions over climate

policy was addressed. In the passed presidential debate more time was spent on climate

change, environmental issues, policies and etc. In 2000 the presidential debate between

Al Gore and George W. Bush spent over fifteen minutes talking about these issues.
