Parts Counter Maintenance Kits (Revised)

HIGH PRIORITY
GENERAL:
This Technical Publication is to inform technicians that Maintenance Kits are now assigned as service parts
for all iPF models.

DETAILS:
Depending on machine model and firmware version, a warning will display on the operation panel when a
parts counter is about to exceed its respective part life expectancy. If this warning is ignored, an error code
will eventually display rendering the machine inoperable. To determine which part/s is needed to resolve this
warning, a Print Status Report or Print Inf. Report is required to access this information. If the machine is
down and unable to print, utilizing the Status Monitor software or L-Printer tool will allow technicians to
retrieve this information to a PC (refer to TP08 369.pdf for L-Printer Tool information).

Large operation panel displays; the message will be as follows:

[PREPARE FOR PARTS REPLACEMENT. CALL FOR SERVICE]
Parts replacement needed soon. A parts counter has reached Warning Level 1.
[PARTS REPLACEMENT TIME HAS PASSED. CALL FOR SERVICE]
Parts counter has reached Warning Level 2. Part has exceeded life expectancy.

Small operation panel displays; the message will be as follows:

[W Level 1] Parts replacement needed soon. A parts counter has reached Warning Level 1.
[W Level 2] Parts counter has reached Warning Level 2. Part has exceeded life expectancy.
[ CONSUMABLES LOW] Parts replacement needed soon. A parts counter has reached Warning Level 1.
[ REPLACE CONSUMABLES] Parts counter has reached Warning Level 2. Part has exceeded life expectancy.

Chapter 7 of the Service Manual under [INITIALIZE / PARTS COUNTER / PARTS] is the corresponding
Counters to be cleared after replacing a specific kit. Failing to initialize (reset to zero), the parts counter will
result in the machine to continue to display these warnings. Take care not to clear the [PARTS-CHG CNT], as
this will clear the amount of times a part has been replaced.
Refer to the following pages for part numbers and details for all kits.

Note: The parts counter letters, indicated in the first column of the kit break down below, are different on all models.
Also, the errors listed below in the Error Column may differ from the Service Manual depending on revision.
