    Procedure for Carbendazim 50 SC formulation

    SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM

    Oil Phase.

    Step 1a :- Water + preservative +


    xanthum gum
    Addition of gum under continuous
    Step 1: Propylene glycol + surfactants + stirring
    60 % water + Antifoam + preservative +
    Technical

    Homogenization & then carry out wet milling


    Step 3:- milled slurry

    Post milling Step 2:Add remaining (Homogenizer: Remi engineering )


    water and mix until
    homogeneous slurry

    Conditions:
    All process was carried out under 25-300 C temperature.

    PROCEDURE
     Xanthum gum 2% dispersion: - take required quantity of water in beaker, add part Proxel GXL
    into it under continuous stirring followed by slow addition of Xanthum gum (Keltrol CGT). Continue
    stirring until homogeneous dispersion is formed.

     Preparation of mill base & bead milling :-


    Take Propylene glycol, Atlox 4913, Atlox 4894 mix well until homogeneous solution is formed. Add
    water, Proxel GXL, defoamer and stir well until homogeneous dispersion is formed. Finally add
    technical slowly under continuous stirring. Continue to obtain homogeneous dispersion.

    Mill the slurry through bead mill until required particle size is achieved.

    Note: - Batch size of the mill base should be designed based on the capacity of the mill & expected
    minimum output.

     Final Formulation:-
    Take the milled slurry into one beaker; based on the output from the mill calculate required amount
    of other ingredients. Add Defoamer, water & finally add xanthum gum (2% dispersion) under
    continuous stirring to get desired viscosity. Continue stirring for about 45 min to obtain
    homogeneous formulation.
