This document provides instructions for installing Business Objects XI (BOXI) and configuring it for the Ericsson-STC ENIQ Server. The process involves:
1. Installing the BO application from a shared folder.
2. Installing Sybase Client version 12.7 to connect to the 3G ENIQ server.
3. Configuring an ODBC connection to the 3G ENIQ server using the Sybase client.

How To Install Business Object 11 (BOXI) and configure for Ericsson-STC ENIQ Server

There are three steps:
1. Install BO application 2. Install Sybase Client version 12.7 (for 3G ENIQ) 3. Configure ODBC Connection for 3G ENIQ 4. Install Sybase Client version 15.2 (for 2G ENIQ) 5. Configure ODBC Connection for 2G ENIQ
1. Install BO application
The source is available in MSPT shared folder, in folder application/BO_SW
Open folder: BO_SW\BOXI\BO_Server, run file: Setup.exe
Click Next Next (follow the default), except when it ask installation type. Choose custom installation and make sure to disable Web Tier Components and Server Components : After that continue Next.. Next.. until finish.
2. Install Sybase Client version 12.7 for 3G ENIQ
Open folder \\10.33.67.166\perform\RANPerformance\Applications\BO_SW\sybiqntwkclnt127win32,
run file: Setup.exe
Continue default setting by clicking Next.. Next..
3. Install Sybase Client version 15.2 for 2G ENIQ
Open folder \\10.33.67.166\perform\RANPerformance\Applications\BO_SW\SybaseIQ15, run file:
media32.exe
Continue default setting by clicking Next.. Next..
Important!!! Do not use media64.exe whatever your OS type is. Because ODBC 64-bit version is not working with ENIQ.
4. Configure ODBC Connection for 3G ENIQ
Open ODBC Data Source Administrator from Start Menu :
Important!!!! Do not open it from Control Panel because it will open ODBC 64-bit version, but we are working with ODBC 32-bit version.
Create new ODBC connection in System DSN tab. Choose Adaptive Server IQ as a driver. Driver: Adaptive Server IQ
Fill every tab with these :
ODBC
Data source name : dwhdb_new_eniq
Login
User ID : dcbo
Password : dcbo Database
Server Name: dwhdb
Network
host=172.20.43.30:2640
After that test your 3G connection :
Click OK if its successful.
5. Configure ODBC Connection for 2G ENIQ
Create new ODBC connection in System DSN tab. Choose Sybase IQ as a driver.
Driver: Sybase IQ
Data source name : dwhdb
User ID : dcbo Password : dcbo
Server Name: dwhdb
host=172.20.236.83:2640
After that test your 2G connection.
Click OK if its successful.
If these two ODBC are finish, we will have these:
6. Last step is edit host file in folder : C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Add these two rows:
172.20.43.25 3gstc
172.20.236.85 BISserver Important!!! May be you cannot edit host file directly in that folder. You have to copy paste in to another folder, edit, than copy paste back to that folder.
After that you can use BO for daily activity as usual.
