TIME CONTENT
In the situation, the problem starts when the EDSA Radio and TV Company's
sales approached rises into P300 million annually with 15, 000 employees and
ten manufacturing plants during 1999.
VIEW POINT
In this matter, the one who presented a solution to the problem of EDSA Radio
and TV Company in terms of communication problem and the absence of "small
company" spirit was Bong Tadiwan.
OBJECTIVES
To determine the effective way of improving the communication between the
managers and subordinates.
To learn how to handle properly the growth of the company.
To help the employees comprehend the philosophy and policies implemented by
the company for its proper system.
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION/ANALYSIS
Strength of the Company
When the company grew fairly larger, people still felt that they knew the
founder and president, and this strong feeling of personal loyalty helped make
for the absence of a company union.
Weakness of the Company
Bong Tadiwan, founder of EDSA Radio and TV Company, observed that his
philosophies and objectives were not understood by all the employees working
in the company.
Opportunity of the Company
Bong Tadiwan was given a chance to solve the problem coming from his
company like lack of communication and absence of its "small company spirit"
for the great improvement of it.
Assumption of the Company
If the said problem is not given an effective solution as soon as possible, it will be
the cause for the downfall of the certain company.
Advantage: The advantage of this first ACA is that it will be easy for the
manager/boss to know about what's happening in the company when a director
reported to him.
Advantage: The advantage of this ACA is that the message or information and
other announcements will be easily received by the manager/boss and even the
subordinates.
RECOMMENDATION
The result of the matrix shows that the most effective alternative course of
action is conducting a regular meeting for the concern of the subordinates'
performances. With regard to the factors that affects the recommended
alternative course of action, its expense will not affect the income of the
company because there will be no use of big amount of money.
In terms of its quality, it is one of the easiest ways to have an open
communication inside the company. In addition to this, its effectiveness will be
felt by many subordinates because it will let them express their feeling in the
whole environment of the company.
Lastly, the satisfaction for the both parties is met because they already had a
good and clear communication in solving the problem which leads to the
continuous growth of the company.
All in all, this alternative course of action is recommended not only for solving
the problem but also for uniting them as one.
CONCLUSION
Result
Therefore, I conclude based on the table, there are three activities that will
happen when a meeting is taken. The first one is to present presentations of
reports about the what is happening in the company and also discussing about
the problems and concerns of the company that should be given a solution. With
this first activity, everybody will participate in the decision making to clear
everything. For the first activity its time frame would be three hours of talking
and there will be no use of money.
The second activity is break time. Every meeting should have break time and the
foods are prepared for all the persons involved in the meeting. With that, they
will have quality time spent not just for the cause of bonding but it will make
their relationship more strong and they will get more closer and know each
other well. In this second activity the time frame would be one hour and the
expense would be P8, 000.
