Persistency Definition:

*DOC of those policies will be considered whose login is as per Blue Riband Contest criteria .

Any Policy whose grace period for 1st and 2nd year renewal premium is coming to end during the
qualification period of convention will fall in persistency bucket.
While calculating persistency, no credit shall be given for prepayment cases.
Final persistency will be calculated basis data as on day of Post of FLC result.
Persistency criteria is on APE persistency.
Any new business in non inforced or lapsed status on last day of FLC period, will not have any effect in
NOP and PC calculations of new business criteria. All such non FLC policies (i.e.. lapsed policies) however,
will have impact in first year persistency definition.
For ULIP policies, only the policies which are premium paying will be considered. In case of premium
discontinuance, the policy will not be considered as Inforce for new business premium criteria.

Persistency Criteria : Definition
Persistency: The entire business is sourced into self-sourced and inherited as defined
below:
Self Sourced business Actual persistency will be taken
Inherited business 2% benefit/ 1% loss towards self-sourced base for every 5% improvement/
decline from the persistency levels at the beginning of the defined period; s.t. max cap of 10% for the
benefit/ loss.

Total Persistency = Self Sourced business 13th Month persistency +/- Inherited business 13th Month
persistency

Important Considerations: Product Weightage
For business sourced during the contest period, all single premium/Top Ups will have a weightage
of 10%.
No I-life/ online policies would be given credit.
In case of any future product launches, the credit for those products will be communicated
separately.
Current product weightage is subject to change in the future.
Group Insurance policies will not be considered in Blue Riband 2016-17
Rural products will not be considered in Blue Riband 2016-17

Destination for Blue Riband 2016-17convention will be Sydney, Australia
The convention will be held tentatively in Aug-Sep 2017
Total no. of seats available for Sourcing Managers in Blue Riband are 12
Top 12 SMs would be calculated basis maximum points on ACL qualification. In case of a tie on points,
absolute WRP achievement will be considered as a tie-breaker
For calculation purpose, the WRP will be considered net of all applicable taxes. Service tax will not be
considered while calculating WRP credit in Blue Riband 2016-17 convention criteria.
For the purpose of calculation of WRP business, any policy which has been given credit in previous BR
will not be considered for current year BR under any circumstance.
Premium collected for Blue Riband 2016-17 is defined as all First Year Premiums collected (WRP)
within the qualification period.
Any subsequent premium which is falling during the BR period will be considered in WRP calculation
irrespective of login date.
If the premium frequency is changed for policy logged and issued during the qualification period (up to
31st Mar 2017), then the changed premium frequency will be considered.
Any policy falling under Circular 14/15 clause will not be eligible for contest credit. In case of any
changes to the aforementioned circulars, all policies will be adjudged as per the updated Circular(s).
Qualification in ACL will be considered basis definition mentioned in the ACL program presentation.
Only FPAs who qualify basis performance from Apr16 Mar17 will be given credit.
Split policies will not be considered in Blue Riband 2016-17

In cases of remapped FPAs, ACL Qualification will be considered basis performance of FPA post re-
mapping and any previous business will not be considered for qualification calculation.
Final result will be published post FLC period of 45 days from last date of issuance(31st Mar 2017).
Rankings shall be basis ACL points with business status on result published post the last day of FLC (15th
May 2017).
In case of a tie on ACL points, absolute WRP achievement will be considered as the tie-breaker.
No redemption would be allowed in lieu of BR convention
Management reserves the right to alter/revoke the convention criteria and /or benefits at any point in
time without prior notice. The decision of the management at Aviva Life Insurance India Ltd. with regard
to all aspects, including interpretation and implementation shall be deemed final and binding on all
participants.
The management at Aviva Life Insurance India Ltd. reserves the right to change the destination of Blue
Riband for the year 2016-17 at its own discretion and no compensation whatsoever will be paid in case
the destination is changed or otherwise
The company has the discretion to disqualify any qualifier for any unethical behavior or pending
disciplinary action or something to that effect.
Any winner, who has severed ties with Aviva at the time of the declaration of the results/ at the time of
departing for the convention, will not be eligible for the convention and will not qualify for the
gifts/prizes.
All applicable taxes as per Income tax & service tax will be adjusted.
