SUKKUR: The Historical City

Ayub Bridge
This beautifully attractive steel bridge was designed by
the American Engineer Dr. Stainman; the foundation
stone was laid on 26th November 1959. The bridge was
opened for the public on 1st December 1961; Field
Marshal Ayub inaugurated the bridge. The bridge is
unique in its design and structure.
Lansdowne Bridge
This magnificent and heavy iron bridge is the oldest
bridge of Sukkur. The British felt it necessary to construct a
bridge to join the twin cities of Rohri and Sukkur. The 820-
feet long bridge was sanctioned in 1885 and opened for
public 1889. Ex-Governor Lord Ray of Bombay
inaugurated the bridge; it was named LANSDOWNE
BRIDGE after the viceroy Lord Lansdowne.

Beginning of a New Era Spreading the Light of Education
in Extra-Ordinary Manner
Establishment of Sukkur IBA has been a ray of hope for those who cannot afford quality education. Since its
establishment, the Institute has been successfully transforming the people lives and uplifting their career.
Sukkur IBA welcomed people on-board from diverse backgrounds, majority of them are those having dreams in
their minds but their realization was blur. Sukkur IBA not only helped them realize their dreams but changed
their lives by educating them and making them responsible citizens of Pakistan.
Sukkur IBA does not believe in teaching through conventional means. It rather focuses on teaching through
modern teaching methodology on market-based curriculum. Students are engaged through classroom lectures,
video conferences, presentations, audio video learning aids, group discussions and role play exercises, practical
projects, research work and other curricular and extracurricular activities. The purpose is to build capacity of
students from all aspects by using all modern tools and techniques. This results in increasing student analytical
skills, decision making power and self-confidence, ability to take risk and think out of box, determination and
self-awareness. These activities also create a clear link between theory (which they read in books) and practical,
which they have to face after initiating their career.

Green Campus Area
Green campus of Sukkur IBA is located at airport road
Sukkur with an area of 25 acres of land. All the space is
fully occupied by modern buildings and lush green
lawns and beautiful garden with thousands of trees.
Greenery and beautiful gardens are the identity of the
institute. The institute has also been certified as
Pakistans first green campus institute by WWF Pakistan.
Recently new state-of-the-art building of Sukkur IBA
became functional giving space to Executive
Development Centre (EDC) and residence facility to
faculty. The building contains spacious guest rooms
with well-equipped executive training halls, dining hall
and suites.

Classrooms at Sukkur IBA are well-equipped with
state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technology
with limited sitting capacity appropriate for teaching
and learning. All classrooms are spacious and centrally
air-conditioned. The design of classrooms is ideal for
lectures and facilitates discussions between teachers
and students. Multimedia projector and screen with a

Mosque
At Sukkur IBA, students live with cultural and
religious harmony and mutual respect. The institute

days also take place in the mosque i.e. in
Khatam-ul-Quran during Ramadan, sermon on
Muharram-ul-Haram etc. At the same time, every
individual from other religion is also allowed to
perform his / her religious rituals with freedom. As
the quantity of students has multiplied over time,
the need for a larger prayer area has emerged.

Auditorium
A centrally air-conditioned, beautifully built and
well-decorated auditorium facility is there for the
various events, curricular and extra-curricular
activities. This auditorium has sitting capacity of 550
people with wide stage and facility of multimedia

that is Campus Management Solution(CMS) for more
than 7 years now, to automate the operations related
to academia. Recently this institute got implemented
two new modules of Oracle's PeopleSoft ERP, which are

d) Admission
Purely on merit to be determined on the basis of academic
performance, entry test and interview. The proportional
weight for academic performance and entry test/interview
shall be 50:50, respectively.
Students seeking admission to BBA- (Agribusiness) will have
to apply for admission separately either at UAF or Sukkur IBA.
An entry test having same question paper consisting of 100
MCQs shall be administered simultaneously at both

Mr. Siddiqui is founder of Sukkur IBA. He has served Pakistan as civil servant for the period of
30 years. Due to his deep interest for education, he has also been teaching at various institutions
as visiting faculty i.e. IBA Karachi, IoBM Karachi, University of Sindh and Shah Abdul Latif University
Khairpur Mirs. He has been affiliated with Sukkur IBA from last 26 years.
Dr Niaz Ahmed Bhutto has 17 Years of vast experience in the field of teaching and research. Mr.
Bhutto is also HEC approved supervisor. He has published many articles in reputable journals and
presented papers in international conferences. His areas of interest are Development Economics &
Sustainable development & Input Output Modeling.
Dr Sarwar M Azhar has over 35 years of combined experience as a practising business manager and
as an academician in the field of management and marketing. He started his family business in
1983, which included Pak American Institute of Management Sciences, a higher educational
institute offering graduate and post graduate degrees in Management and Computer Sciences. He
also launched Pamir Knot College providing education at the primary and secondary level. In 1998,
he left to do his PhD at Nottingham University Business School, Nottingham UK. He has published
over 30 research papers in both national and international journals. A book titled Globalization,
edited by him, has also been published.

Dr Waqar Akram
Associate Professor
Dr Waqar is a motivated mid-career education professional, with excellent academic career and
great aptitude for research. Recently completed his Post Doc from Oklahoma State University, USA
as Fulbright Scholar. He possesses more than ten years teaching experience and has been working
to promote research culture in the universities of Pakistan and organize national and international
conferences. He has published a papers in good quality journals and has 30+publications to his
credit. His area of research is rural development that includes rural financial sector, food demand
and renewable energy alternatives.
Dr Khalid is an expert in environment economics. He joined Sukkur IBA in year 2013. He also led
Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC). His teaching interests are Micro &
Macro Economic Theory, Econometrics, Law and Economics, Climate Change and Environmental.
His research interests are; International Economics, Environmental Economics and Development
Economics. He has done projects funded nationally and internationally i.e. HEC, KIET, European
Commission & UK Government.
Dr Samo has over 17 years of diverse experience in academic administration, project management,
consultancy and trainings. He is among most senior faculty members of the institute having worked
on various positions including director training, lead trainer, training coordinator, national
consultant training, capacity building expert, Project Administrator and Director for international
organizations (Asian development Bank, UNDP, Cupola, Continental Biscuits, USAID, GUESS) and
National organizations (Sukkur IBA, SBP, Sindh Government, Education Foundation) organizations.
Currently he leads Executive Development Center which works actively to train executives from
industry, government organizations and NGOs.

Dr Syed Mir is a pioneer member of faculty at Sukkur IBA, working at Faculty of Business
Administration. He has worked as Head of Department, Faculty of Business Administration and
Provost Hostels for a number of years. Presently he is working as Director International Accreditations.
Dr Mirani is an Assistant Professor at Sukkur IBA. Besides teaching, he has served as Program Officer
and Controller of Examinations of the institute. He has published papers in international journals and
participated in international conferences. Mirani holds MBA in Marketing and Masters of Science (MS)
with specialization in strategic management. His specialization is in entrepreneurship with special
focus on Academic Entrepreneurship, Entrepreneurial Universities and University Technology Transfer.
Dr Pervaiz has been working with Sukkur IBA for the last 18 years. He also head Office of Research Innovation, and
Commercialization (ORIC). Before joining academia, Mr. Memon worked for 2 years in one of the leading home
appliance companies of Pakistan. As an academician, Dr. Pervaiz has experience of teaching corporate finance,
financial reporting and analysis, portfolio management, financial accounting, project evaluation, project
management, change management, organizational development, and operations management. Mr. Memons
research interest is in corporate finance and portfolio management and he has got 12 publications in various
research journals of national and international repute.
Dr Pervaiz possesses vast experience of conducting and managing training and research projects funded by
various national and international agencies such as World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, UNOPS, NRSP,

Dr Waheed A. Umrani

As a trainer Dr Umrani has conducted professional training for corporate and academicians in
Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, and all around Pakistan in areas of Leadership & Management
Development, Case Writing and Case Teaching and Research Methods focused on Quantitative
Techniques including Advanced Structural Equation Modeling.
Dr Umrani has published case studies and research articles with the highly valued international
research journals, some of his work is under-review with high quality journals.
Dr Channa had outstanding teaching, research, and training and development background before
joining Sukkur IBA in 2009. He was a founding member of human resource management faculty. Dr
Channa possesses diversified research interests and achievements. He had gained vibrant teaching
and research experience in couple of worlds top 20 universities before re-joining Sukkur IBA in

Mr Ghouri belongs to a family which has been in business for the last six generations. He is the
current Executive Director of Ghouris group of companies.
He has remained an active participant towards educational progress of Sindh in general and
towards Business management studies in particular. Aamir is Sukkur IBAs first ever Professor of
Practice.
Aamir has also served previously many times on the Sukkur Chamber of Commerce and Industrys
Executive Committee and Standing Committees, and has a vast experience in dealing with many
Government Ministries and Departments concerned with Business. He has recently served as the
President of Sukkur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Sajjad Ahmed

Mr Sajjad has 06 years professional experience in industry and academia. He has been affiliated
with Sukkur IBA for the last 4 years. He teaches strategic management accounting, Financial

Mr. Ameet Kumar is Full time faculty member at the Sukkur IBA since 2015. He did his MBA in fianc

Bank on different positions as acting Operations Manager, Acting Trade Officer, Audit Compliance

Dr Suresh Kumar recently joined Sukkur IBA as Assistant Professor of Finance. Previously he was
associated with Karachi School of Business and Leadership (KSBL) as assistant professor of finance,
and Director Research and Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC). He received Deans List Award for
exceptional PhD Thesis for the year 2015 of Massey University, New Zealand. Dr. Rajput has been
selected as one of the top Young Researchers by SIRCA Australia in the Year 2013 and 2014 for
presenting his PhD finance research. He also presented research papers at the Annual Meeting of
Financial Management Association (FMA), 2013 in Chicago, USA
Dr Jahanzeb holds PhD in Finance from University Technology Malaysia (UTM) and an MBA from
Institute of Business & Technology (IBT) Pakistan. His research interest includes Corporate Finance,
Financial Management, International Financing and externally-funded research projects. He has
designed course modules for teaching and training on Financial Management, Corporate Finance,
Research Methodology and Investment Banking.
He has also served as a reviewer for Journal of Social Science Studies and as an ad-hoc reviewer for

Dr Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Bhayo

Mr Bhayo is an enthusiast education professional and did his Ph.D in the area of asset pricing in

cross-section of expected stock returns, Islamic finance etc. He has number of working papers and

Dr Bhatti has over 20 years of experience in agriculture field in Australia and Pakistan. Before joining

PBR Consultant with Western Australian Department of Agriculture and Examiner with Plant
Breeders Rights, IP Australia. During his previous work he has accumulated the acumen of
knowledge in agriculture and plant science. He is teaching students of BBA in Agribusiness.
An experienced business professional with over 14 years of expertise in the areas of Operations, Sales
and Academics. He has worked in Chevron, Engro and Nestle Pakistan against different managerial

He has also been teaching for the past 8 years marketing related courses including Brand
Management, Services Marketing, Social Marketing and Change Management.
Mulazim Ali Khokhar joined Sukkur IBA in July 2014 and has been teaching Finance courses ever
since. He teaches Financial Derivatives, Financial Institutions and Markets, Risk Management in
Financial Institutions and Financial Engineering.
He has a rich professional knowledge and experience in Finance and Financial Markets. He has 3
Masters Degrees; MBA (Finance) 2007, Masters in Mathematical Methods and Models in Economics

Mr. Nabeel Nisar is a real time marketer, a trainer, an entrepreneur and a consultant on marketing and
management strategies. Mr Nisar is currently serving as a full time faculty at Sukkur IBA in the
department of marketing. Mr Nisar has earned his MSc. from University of Bradford, United Kingdom
in the fields of marketing & management. Before joining Sukkur IBA, he served several leading
national and multinational organizations against various positions.
Mr Nisar is Higher Education Commission (HEC) and International Labour Organizations (ILO)
certified trainer on business startups and entrepreneurship in Pakistan. He has also been supervising
MBA final year industrial projects of students.
Before joining Sukkur IBA, he has served as Lecturer at the Department of International Relations
and Political Science, University of Sargodha for almost five years. He holds a very diverse

Ubedullah Memon is a full time faculty member and Trainer of Human Resource Management at
Sukkur IBA. Along with teaching experience, he had served in the national and multinational organi-
zations of Pakistan namely; Ericsson Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd, Adamjee Diesel and Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd,
Karachi University, and Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi. Ubedullah has a significant experi-
ence of trainings in public and private sector of Pakistan. He is an author of some research articles

He has served in various organizations, both government and private. He has served the sole
pioneering gas company of Pakistan, SSGCL, in the capacity of HR Co-ordination and then as

Mr Qamar Uddin has more than 6 years teaching, training and consulting experience. He has a good
experience of teaching in various programs including BBA, MBA and Executives at Sukkur IBA.
Previously, he was working with Dadabhoy Institute of higher education. He was associated as a
visiting faculty with SZABIST. He has also worked with various training organizations as a part-time
trainer. He has 4 publications in HEC recognized international journals and 4 conference papers. His
research area includes conflict management. His areas of interest are HRM, Conflict Management,
Human and Organizational Behavior and Social Psychology.
Saifullah Rahoojo
Lecturer
Mr Saifullah has been working as full time lecturer finance and accounting at Sukkur IBA since
August 2015. He has done MBA from Sukkur IBA with finance specialization. He has worked in
Meezan Bank limited as regional coordinator, and as Internal Audit Department of Sukkur IBA as
Assistant Manager. He has got significant and progressive skills related to banking, Islamic banking,
finance, accounting, taxation and auditing. His research interests include the field of finance in
general and Islamic Banking and finance in particular.

Suresh Kumar
Lecturer
Mr Kumar possesses 8 years experience in the field of finance, trading, fund management and
academia. He has been affiliated with Sukkur IBA for the past 3 years in various capacities including
Fund Manager and Financial Trading Lab Facilitator. He possesses advanced knowledge of tools like
SAGE 50 and Bloomberg Terminal. His teaching and research interests include finance, trading, stock
market, portfolio management and financial institutions.
Mr Shah joined Sukkur IBA in 2014. His areas of expertise are economics and operations
management. He has completed his Masters from Cleveland State University, USA. Currently he is on
study leave pursuing his Ph.D. from LUMS, Lahore. His research interests include Service Operations

Mr. Muhammad Saleem is an Advocate of High Court and faculty member of Laws and Behavioral
Sciences. He has five years of teaching experience and has been teaching various subject i.e. Social

Current Affairs & Geography in different programs. In addition, he possesses specialty in Corporate
and Tax laws, besides this he conducts case study sessions on Legal and Regulatory Environment of
Business.
Ms Sehrish Bukhari is a full time faculty member at Sukkur IBA. She possesses over 6-year full time
work experience in teaching and corporate sector. She has been affiliated with teaching since 2013.
She has also worked with JWT Asiatic (prominent advertisement agency) and Habib Bank Limited.
She has completed her BBA and MBA degree programs from Sukkur IBA. Currently she is enrolled
pursing her Ph.D. from Sukkur IBA and working on her thesis. Her research work is on abusive super-
vision, employee voice behavior and help seeking behavior.
Miss Sanam Mahar has been associated with Sukkur IBA for the past four years. She possesses a
total of six years experience of teaching BBA and MBA students. In her career, she has taught

Muhammad Farooque is currently a Faculty Member at Sukkur IBA, besides he has served in the

Building Trainings for DOEs, DEOs, Principals, HMs & Faculty Members of TTIs under Sindh
Elementary Teachers Training Project and several corporate sector trainings/workshops on Supply

Mr Ali Raza has been a full-time faculty member and trainer of Human Resource Management at the

Foods Limited Sukkur, Bearing Point Consultancy Karachi particularly in Human Resource domain.

Dr Abdul Rehman has more than 15 years of teaching, research and develoment experience with a wide range
of database, data mining and semantic web technologies. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the
University of Bayreuth Germany. Prior to joining Sukkur IBA, he worked as an Assistant Professor at
Quad-e-Awam Engineering University and prior to that as a Database Administrator at AOL Pakistan Ltd. Dr.
Rehmans research interests focus around the broad topic of Scientific Data Management which essentially
includes data logistic (retrieval, movement, and storage), data conversion, structural and semantic data
interoperability (integration and transformation). He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed
journals as well as presented his research work at various well-known international / national conferences.
Dr. Khand has more than Twenty years of working/research experience in the academia and industry. He has
been associated withSukkur IBA for last Ten years. His teaching interests include: Computer Graphics,
Operating Systems, Algorithms and Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Engineering. His
current research interests include Embedded Control Systems, Sketch-Based Interfaces and Modeling, Soft
Computing, Computer Graphics, and Renewable Energy based Irrigation Systems.
Mr Khand has twenty five (25) years of teaching and administration experience at university level. Before
joining the Sukkur IBA in the year 2001, Mr Khand worked at the Mehran University College of Engineering and
Technology, Nawabshah, Quaid-E-Awam University Engineering Sciences and Technology, Nawabshah and at
Siemens Pakistan Limited Karachi. Mr. Khand is pursuing PhD from University of Liverpool, UK in higher

Quality Enhancement Cell and Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Sukkur IBA where his responsibility
is to assure quality in different academic programs, teach computing courses and supervise MS/PhD students

Dr M. Ajmal Sawand has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience. Previously he was working

Laboratories Paris Descartes a government of France research laboratory affiliated with University of Paris
Descartes, Paris France. His professional research interests include security and resource management in

Dr. Faheem has more than 6 years of diverse teaching and research experience at Sukkur IBA. His
research interests include VSC-HVDC technology, DC-DC converters, grid integration of renewable
energy, and power electronics applications in power systems, Smart grids.
Dr Shah has 25 Years of diverse experience in teaching, research & industry including electronic
design, IT and Telecom industry. He has been serving at several public and private sector
organizations on key positions. Dr Shah received two Gold medals in his under graduate degree. He
was also awarded JR Beard award by IET UK and Appreciation Award by ION USA. He is a member
of various NCRCs of HEC and an elected member of Governing Body of PEC.
His research areas include Satellite Navigation, HCI, WSN, Security and QoS of Computer Networks,
E-Business and Atomic Physics. He has been associated with Sukkur IBA for last 10 years.
Mr. Rahimoon has been working with various educational institutions for the past 15 years. He has

Dr. Fareed has more than 10 years of diverse teaching and research experience at various

Energy), Mixing Enhancement techniques, Chaotic Advection, Experiments in Fluids, Thermal
Systems, Heat and mass transfer enhancement techniques.
Mr Khand has twenty five (25) years of teaching and administration experience at university level. Before
joining the Sukkur IBA in the year 2001, Mr. Khand worked at the Mehran University College of Engineering and
Technology, Nawabshah, Quaid-E-Awam University Engineering Sciences and Technology, Nawabshah and at
Siemens Pakistan Limited Karachi. Mr. Khand is pursuing PhD from University of Liverpool, UK in higher
education managment. Mr. Khand holds the degree of MSc Software Development from University of
Huddersfield, UK and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) from Mehran University of Engineering
and Technology, Jamshoro. His strengths are project preparation, project planning and management, Green
office initiatives, Strategic planning and Software Development. He is the Project Coordinator of PeopleSoft
Campus Management Solution (CMS), Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials and Supply Chain
Management (FSCM), LMS, Library Management Software and ICT services at Sukkur IBA. He is a member of

Dr. Asim has more than 12 years of diverse teaching and research experience at various

Mr Sharik Zamir has 19 years of experience of teaching and training. He has served reputed

Mr. Zahid Ali Jatoi has been teaching English Language for more than 12 years in different
professional organizations. Some of previous major achievements include his working as a
Professional Development teacher in the project of Aga Khan university-Institute for Educational
Development, Pakistan and as a Professional Development Specialist in US-AID Teachers Education
Project (Pre-Step) Pakistan. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor in Department of

Mr Shar is an educationist with several years of experience in the fields of research, education and training. From
classroom teaching to teachers training, Mr. Hussain has been involved in education sector at various levels. He has
led different educational institutions, designed and carried out training programs for education managers, school
heads and principals, teacher educators and teachers. As a member of Pakistan Association of Research, he came
by many opportunities learn and develop his practical research abilities through workshops and seminars. With a
sound background in quality research, he has authored many research papers and publications. His articles appear
in different national and international journals and newspapers. He has trained and facilitated various workshops
and seminars for capacity building of local government personnel, teachers and community members. Currently,
he is employed at Sukkur IBA as Coordinator IBA Community Colleges and works as Trainer at the Executive Center
of the same institution.
Mr Jillani has been associated with the field of Education for more than one decade. At Sukkur IBA, he
has served as Project Coordinator of Standardized Achievement Test (SAT) project from 2012 to 2015.
Additionally, he works as Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, Sukkur IBA. He possesses
a Master of Education (M.Ed) degree with specialization in Educational Leadership and Management
(ELM) from Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED) Karachi.
Mr. Kumbhar has vast experience in teaching. He has been teaching since September 2005 to dates. First
he was associated with University of Sindh, Jamshoro. He has been there as visiting faculty in an
institute of English language and literature since September 2005 to August 1st, 2014. He has joined
Sukkur IBA as a Lecturer since August 04, 2014. He has been teaching here ADE/B.Ed (Hons) Elementary
courses. He has attended several seminars and conferences on themes related to education, language
and literature. Mr. Kumbhar has also been involved as a subject specialist in Sindhi Language in SAT
Project III sponsored by Reform Support Unit, Government of Sindh in collaboration with Sukkur IBA
since 2014.

Dr Zarqa Bano holds a PhD degree in applied mathematics with specialization in Fluid
Mechanics. Her research area is analytic solutions of differential equations arising from in the
field of fluid mechanics in general and non-Newtonian fluids in particular.
Dr Sidrah Ahmed
Assistant Professor
Dr Sidrah Ahmed has been working here since 2015. Her areas of expertise include numerical
methods for nonlinear dynamics (Multiphase flows, granular flows, thin film dynamics,
environmental and biological flow problems). From 2012 onwards she has been teaching at
undergraduate and graduate levels in HEC recognized institutions. She is HEC approved PhD.

Dr Khalid Shafi is among the most senior faculty members of Sukkur IBA. He has been affiliated with
Sukkur IBA for the since August 1999. He has been teaching Islamic Studies, Pakistan Studies, Islamic
History and Pakistan History. His hobbies include teaching Quran, Islamic Lecturer on various forums
in Pakistan, gardening and tourism.
Dr Hyder research primarily focuses on the Lagrangian modeling and methods for simulating the
advective-diffusive transport of water masses in the global ocean.
He teaches various subjects including: Numerical analysis, scientific computing, differential
equation, stochastic differential equation and mathematical modeling. He has been associated with
Sukkur IBA from past 1 year.

Adnan Rauf
Assistant Professor
Mr Adnan Rauf, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, holds M.Sc. in Industrial and Business
Mathematics from the University of Karachi (1999) and MS in Industrial Mathematics with
specialization in Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Computing from TU Kaiserslautern,
Germany in 2004. He has taught at Institute of Business Management Karachi, FAST, National
University Karachi and Hamdard University Karachi.

Assistant Professor
His areas of expertise are Computational Fluid Dynamics and Applications of Mathematics in
Economics. His research interest includes: Applied Mathematics (Mathematics Engineering,
Computational fluid dynamics and operations management). He has been affiliated with Sukkur IBA
from past 5 years.
Mr Soomro has been affiliated with Sukkur IBA for the past 12 years. He has more than 20 years
teaching experience as an ELT trainer, communicator and coach to the graduation, post-graduation
and higher secondary levels. He possesses rich experience of Teachers Training and Professional
Development Programs. He is also EAP qualified from British Council, Islamabad and Certificate in
TESOL from IED-AKU, Karachi. His research interests include English language teaching, pedagogical
skills and language as a communication tool.
Mr Abbasi has been associated with Sukkur IBA for the past 9 years. He has more than 17 years
teaching and teachers training experience. He has been a visiting faculty member at Johson Country
Community College, Kansas, USA, under the US State Department grant. He teaches various subjects
including Business Communication, Functional English, Communication and Presentation Skills. His
research interests include English for Specific Purpose (ESP) and English in Distance Education.

Surhan Fatima Memon completed her M.Phil. English from Fatima Jinnah Women University,
Rawalpindi, Pakistan in 2014. Since September of the same year, she has been working in the
capacity of Lecturer English in Sukkur Institute of Business Administration, Pakistan. Her research
areas include literary theories and their applications, post-colonial literature, interactive theatre, and
social change in Pakistan through performing arts.
She wishes to pursue a Ph.D in pedagogy and instruction through performing arts. She has been a
Visiting Professor at Johnson County Community College, USA, for about four and a half months for
understanding and exploring Learning Center Pedagogies, particularly the Writing Center.

M.A Linguistics & Literature from National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad
Mr. Farhan has been an English faculty member at Sukkur IBA since August, 2009. His areas of
interest are English composition, Phonetics & Phonology, accent enhancement and English
language skills development. He did his Masters from NUML (Islamabad) and had been among the
toppers of his batch. He did his diploma in Accent Enhancement from British Consultancy,
Islamabad.
Apart from working at Sukkur IBA, he has also taught at Engro Model School and Engro College,
Daharki. He had also been a part of The City School, Sukkur for a short time. He has attended and
conducted scores of trainings and workshops on English language skills development and is an
active member of SPELT.
Usama Abdul Rahman completed his M.A. English from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur,
Pakistan in 2013. Since the January of the 2012, He has been working in the field of Education as a
teacher, First at The City School Network, IBA-Public School and currently at Sukkur Institute of
Business Administration, Pakistan since September 2016. His areas of interest include 'Teaching
Pedagogy', 'Management and leadership skills' and 'Emotional Intelligence and its role in teaching'.
He wishes to pursue An MS degree, leading to PhD in pedagogy and management. He has a deep
interest in Communication and negotiation skills, particularly in Business Communication.

Mr. Rashid
Mr. Shaikh started his career at the Sukkur Institute of Business Administration in October 2005, as a
first permanent Mathematics lecturer in the Department of Business Administration. He taught
many Mathematics related courses-such as Calculus, Matrix Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, and
Probability & Statistics- in different departments of the Institute. His main research interests are in
Open Macroeconomics, and Applied Econometrics. His current research focuses on explaining
persistent movements in real exchange rates based on different trends in productivities in traded
and non-traded goods sector. He is also interested in Dynamic programing and Applied Game
Theory.
Mr Abdul Saeed has almost 12 years experience of teaching English at different institutions of
Pakistan. He has worked as an Assistant Professor in the department of Modern Languages,
Karakoram International University, Gilgit, Pakistan from 2008 to 2013. He has been working as an
Assistant professor in Institute of Business Administration, Sukkur since February 2013 to dated. He
has been teaching Business Communication, Functional English, Case-Studies and Managerial

Once students are admitted, we ensure that they are given the
academic, personal and, where appropriate, financial support
necessary for successful completion of their course at Sukkur IBA.
Once students have applied then the principle detailed above
takes absolute precedence. We will not introduce targets or
quotas for people from specific backgrounds as we feel very

A Family Fun Festival within premises of the institute was
organized with the theme of Help Us Change Lives. The basic
purpose behind organizing such an event was to generate
funds for the needy and meritorious students of the institute
and create awareness about fund-raising among the
communities. In the festival, stalls were sponsored by the
regional as well as multinational companies to display their
brands for sale. Number of the students from different
disciplines like business, computer and I.T., Entrepreneurship
and agri-business also rented stalls to display various business
ideas and sold their products. All the revenues generated were
donated to this noble cause. In this grand event more than 1000
families from the Sukkur region visited and enjoyed the event.

crucial that you check your Sukkur IBA e-mail on a regular
basis (at least twice a week). Aside from e-mail contact in
which you may receive feedback on tasks and activities, you
will have the opportunity to discuss work with your tutors at
weekly 'office hour' meetings that your tutor will
communicate you.

cost. You can use them for academic purpose and take them

Quality Assurance
Academic Coordinator and Coordinator of National Talent
Hunt Program will oversee all Quality Assurance to do with
the program. If an issue arises during the course, you will have
the right to file an official complaint. This will be to the
Academic Coordinator or Coordinator NTHP Program in the
first instance. A three-person committee at the Sukkur-IBA
will investigate the complaint. This committee will include
Director, Quality Enhancement Cell.
Learning Resources
Computers
You will be engaged in ICT labs for the development
computer skills. You need not use any edible in these labs.
Any issues you feel while using computers, you can contact
technician or teacher in the class. While you are in lab for
learning purpose, you are not allowed to use Facebook or any
such social websites. You are also not allowed to use internet
for any other purpose than academic one.
The Library
Information about the library can be found through

use the library and how to access resources. Timing of library
hours regularly starts from 9 a.m to 8 pm. On Sunday, it starts
from 10 to 4 pm.
