Instruments of the Study

Under this portion, the researcher should describe the instruments to be

used in gathering the data needed for the study. Explain the construction,
validation and administration of the research instruments including the
instructions on how each part of the instruments should be accomplished by
the respondents.

For an instruments made by the researcher, the process of validation should

clearly be narrated. An adopted instrument which was previously validated
need not be validated. It is however, necessary for the researcher to
acknowledge the source of the same.

The primary instrument that will be (was) used for gathering the needed
data for this study will be (was) a set of questionnaire with three parts:
Scale A, Scale B, and Scale C.

Scale A. This part deals with the profile of the teacher respondents as
to age, gender, civil status, educational attainment, and years of
experience.

Scale B. This part deals with the description of the computer’s

usability as to cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.

The mode of responses shall be evaluated with the use of the following
rating scale:

Scale Interval Verbal Description

5 4.2 – 5 Outstanding

4 3.4 – 4.1 Very Satisfactory

3 2.5 – 3.3 Satisfactory

2 1.8 – 2.4 Moderately Satisfactory

1 1.0 – 1.7 Unsatisfactory

Scale C. This part deals with the extent of seriousness on the

problems encountered in relation to computer application.

The mode of responses shall be evaluated with the use of the following
rating scale:

Scale Interval Verbal Description

5 4.2 – 5 Most Serious

4 3.4 – 4.1 Serious

3 2.5 – 3.3 Moderately Serious

2 1.8 – 2.4 Less Serious

1 1.0 – 1.7 Not at all

The Interviews

The interview will be used to validate the significant responses of the

respondents to the item statements of the questionnaire.

This is usually resorted to when the questionnaires would call for highly
opinionated responses; hence, the data gathered through interview shall be
used to corroborate some data the authenticity of which is seemingly
doubtful.
