1. Introduction
1.1Background of Study
SS College took the students of Grade XI to Bandipur for the Practical education.
Field works were conducted by dividing the groups. Groups were provided specific
topic for the research purpose. Two students were divided in each group.
The hospital roof leaks in the monsoon and has no enough furniture or equipment.
Shreekrishna Shrestha, a doctor, informed that they could not maintain the hospital
as the budget was too paltry given the vast amount of repair works. "The
government has allocated Rs 10,000 for annual maintenance," he lamented. Doctor
Shrestha also informed that they had been facing difficulty in storing medicine as
there is no storekeeper in the hospital. He also said that the telephone also
remained disconnected for the last five months. ANM Putali Ranabhat said,” We are
facing difficulty in storing vaccines as the refrigerator is not functioning."According
to the hospital administration, the hospital did not have needed equipment and
furniture. Health person is not more qualified in the hospital.
Roads are winding in this area because it is hilltop settlement. There is only one
ambulance in Bandipur. The road condition of this area is very poor so ambulance
service is hardly reached to the specific place to provide service. According to the
local people, before the ambulance they used Stretcher to carry patient.

the hospital. The telephone also remained disconnected for the last five months.
They are facing difficulty in storing vaccines as the refrigerator is not
functioning."According to the local people, the hospital did not have needed

Bandipur hiking or Newari village hiking is best hiking destination for tourist in
Nepal. Bandipur is the living museum of Newari culture. More than 70% building are
traditional Newari houses. This carved wooden windows and overhanging slate
roofs.

Bandipur remains very much living community, as you wander around the narrow
streets, you will see farmers tending market gardens, women carrying basket of
freshly cut fodder .Goats, buffalos and chicken wandering around as if they owned
the place. Here are many temples like Bindebasini Mandir, dedicated to goddess
Durga,Mahalaxmi Mandir,another centuries old Newari-style temple.Khadgan Devi
Mandir (female mystical power),Tin Dhara ,public bathroom with three spouts.if you
ascent 30 min Thani Mai temple from Bandipur, you can see best view of Bandipur
Bazzar and hill around.
One of Nepal's most charming towns, Bandipur is a living museum of Newari culture,
a beautifully preserved village crowning a lofty ridge, its main street lined with
traditional row houses. Time seems to have stood still here, although it has taken a
lot of effort to preserve this magic while developing the town as a destination.
Derelict buildings have been reborn as cafes and lodges, and temples and civic
buildings have been pulled back from the edge of ruin. With its attractive 18th-
century architecture, pedestrian zone and outdoor dining, it has a distinctly
European feel.
4.3 Education

4.4 Social Organizations
Bandipur hosts number of social organizations like social youth forum, public
library, child club. Padma library is one of the oldest libraries in Nepal, established in
Rana regime itself. Lots of social organizations came up in Bandipur and faded out,
Tindhara Youth Cultural Group (TYC-Group) is the only active youth club (social youth
forum) established in 1998. Initially it was a loose forum and was registered under
District Administrative Office in 2003. Hoste Haise Child Development Society is
another social organization working in child development and children right sector.
Other social organizations to be named are Bhanu School Operation Committee,
Bandipur Hospital Development Committee, Raniban Social Committee, Tindhara
Development Committee.

5. Conclusion
The health facilities of Bandipur are satisfactory, not good. Though the health
services are satisfactory, still there are many problems to be solved. So, the
government should pay attention towards the health of Bandipur area. As local
people were not satisfied by the health service of Bandipur Government should
provide health services which satisfy them.
It was a wonderful and learning experience for me while working on this project. This
project took me through the various phase of the project development and gave me
a real insight into the health service of Bandipur. The joy of working and the thrill
involved while tackling the various problems and challenges gave me a feel of
researcher.
It was due to this project I came to know how professional researchers research. I
enjoyed each and every of work I had put to this project. The project is further
expandable.
