    many petrol stations either. The roads were also very narrow. When he had engine
    trouble, he stopped by the road side and repaired it himself. When he had a flat tyre, he
    also fixed it too. He really took good care of his car.

    Peter waited patiently for the lift. When the door opened, he went in. He

    floor, three women walked out. Peter was alone. The lift continued moving up. On the
    thirteenth floor, it suddenly stopped and the light went off . It was very dark inside. Peter
    felt terribly frightened. He shouted, “Help! Help!” He felt for the emergency button and
    pressed it. It gave out a loud ringing sound. Peter could hear foot steps outside and
    voices of people talking. This calmed him down a little. He knew that help was coming.
    Outside, two technicians were working on the lift. Half and hour later, the door was
    opened . When the technicians saw him. His face was as white as a sheet.
